Abstract: A trimming, tilting and transom bracket assembly for a drive leg for a boat including a single tilt pin supportingly carried by a transom bracket, a swivel bracket tiltably carried by the tilt pin steerably supporting the leg, a member carried by the pin interposed between the transom bracket and the swivel bracket, and trim adjusting elements between the transom bracket and such element and trim adjusting elements between such element and the swivel bracket.

Abstract: A spring clip break-away is used as the upper swivel point on a collar which secures a trolling motor to a retractor mounted on the bow of a fishing boat. The spring clip break-away has at least one spring clip secured to an upper support arm of the retractor with an arcuate section defining a recess for receiving a pin which is rotatably secured to the motor collar. During normal retractor use, the pin is held by the spring clips within the recess. When an unusually large torque is applied to the motor shaft, for example by the motor shaft hitting a submerged log, the motor rotates about a lower swivel point and pulls the pin out of the jaws of the spring clips, thereby allowing the motor and shaft to rotate under the bow and avoid damage to the retractor and the motor. After the log is removed, the pin may be quickly and easily re-positioned in the spring clips to permit immediate use of the retractor and motor.

Abstract: An assembly for mounting an outboard motor on a boat, such as at the stern thereof. The assembly comprises an arm extending aft from the stern and having a block at its aft end for mounting the outboard motor at the stern, a guide for axially guiding the arm fore and aft of the boat, and a base on which the guide is removably mounted. The base may be mounted on the boat anywhere within a specified distance inboard of the stern, with the arm being adjustable fore and aft in the guide for mounting the motor at a predetermined position aft of the stern when the base is mounted at different distances (within the aforesaid specified distance) inboard of the stern.
