  • Patent number: 8807492
Abstract: A pipe crib-block for supporting a portion of hose or pipe in an elevated disposition. The pipe crib-block comprises a body portion causing a generally flat lower support surface and an upper surface defining a generally wedge-shaped trough in a central portion thereof. A pair of engagement keys project upwardly from the upper surface on opposed sides of the trough and a pair of key receiving apertures are disposed in the lower surface of the body portion. The apertures are axially aligned with the engagement keys and configured to receive therein and cooperate with the engagement keys on a second pipe crib-block such that two or more pipe crib-blocks can be stacked in interlocked parallel or perpendicular orientations so as to define a supporting structure for the pipe or hose at variable elevations.

  • Patent number: 8794580
Abstract: A bracket is provided for mounting conduit clamps or pipe clamps to the face of the bracket. The height of the bracket can be adjusted by removing pins that are attached to mounting bracket feet and mounting bracket arms. Multiple holes may be formed in the mounting bracket arm and mounting bracket feet to allow for various alignments of the bracket arms, which will vary the height of the bracket. The height is adjusted through a pair of four-bar linkages that enable a linear motion of the bracket face. The bracket may have a footprint that is smaller than conventional adjustable mounting brackets.

  • Patent number: 8757560
Abstract: A cable retention device is disclosed. The device may be used to restrain electrical cables routed along a cable support structure. These support structures are used in both internal and external settings, and the structures provide some physical support and protection to the electrical cables. In some high-power settings, these cables run from substations or electrical generators to a point within a facility. The support structures typically used in these settings do not fully restrain the cables. External forces, such as those that may occur during short circuit conditions, may result in movement of the electrical cables, which can lead to damage. Cable retention devices, referred to at times as cleats or clamps, are needed to restrain the cables. The cable retention device disclosed herein simultaneously restrains the cables and secures the cables to the cable support structure.

  • Patent number: 8733560
Abstract: A cable rack arm and support system suitable for underground power and communication service is made from reinforced non-metallic polymers that will not rust or corrode. A cable rack arm up to thirty inches long may be compression molded with long glass fibers in a polyester or vinylester matrix. Each cable rack arm is securely mounted to a non-metallic stanchion that may be made from a reinforced, pultruded composite material. Nonmetallic pins may be used to secure the cable rack arms to the stanchions. Each cable rack arm then supports one or more cables in cable saddles that are snap-fit atop the arm, thus keeping the cables accessibly organized in a manhole, tunnel or vault. Each saddle may include elastomeric dampening material to reduce shock and vibration in the mechanical and electrical environment in underground tunnels, vaults and manholes.
