Abstract: An ice cube tray device for creating ice plugs for a beverage container is provided. The beverage container has an opening. The ice cube tray device comprises an ice tray having a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, a first end, and a second end opposite the first end. A plurality of recessed receptacles are formed in the top surface of the ice tray between the first end and the second end. Each of the recessed receptacles have a substantially rounded cylindrical configuration thereby creating ice plugs having the same configuration as the recessed receptacles that are capable of being received within the opening of the beverage container.

Abstract: A baking apparatus and method of baking buns and other products is disclosed. In one embodiment, the baking apparatus includes a base pan having a plurality of cavities and a top pan having a corresponding number of molds whereby dough placed between a cavity and a corresponding mold and baked appropriately results in a bun having a flat bottom and at least on closed end.

Abstract: An ice tray in accordance with the present disclosure has an ice cavity formed on a first side for receiving water and creating an ice cube and a water cavity formed on a second side, the water cavity adjacent the ice cavity such that when warm water is poured in the water cavity, heat transfers to the ice cavity and melts the ice cube.

Abstract: A filter unit for use in metal casting including a filter adapter, a filter adapter per se, and a mold for use in metal casting utilizing the filter unit, as well as a method of producing a metal casting, facilitate or practice direct pouring in a manner which provides for greater flexibility, being applicable to a wider range of castings. The apparatus elements and method are particularly suitable for the manufacturing of castings of relatively high modulus and low pour weight, and for the manufacture of high volume castings of low modulus. The mold includes a mold cavity and a sprue, a filter unit located in the sprue, and the filter unit comprising an adapter of refractory material having one or more ledges o10 for mounting a filter, and a filter (e.g. ceramic foam filter) supported by one of the ledges.

The beams need to be able to support tensioning of the tendons. Transversely extending form members (25) cooperate with form members (27) to enclose a space to receive concrete to form the panel (21). The tendons (23) pass through the space.

Abstract: An ice cube tray consisting of an inner tray divided lengthwise and breadthwise into a plurality of pockets with open tops, and an outer tray divided into a configuration that fits the shape of the inner tray forming a space between the outer bottom of the inner tray and the inner bottom of the outer tray, with openings provided on the bottom of the inner tray so as to make transparent ice in the pockets, and additionally providing slightly curved protruding points on the bottom of the outer tray to allow for expansion.

Abstract: A method for producing concrete paving stones includes slidably mounting paving stone molds in a vertical row in a rack; sliding one mold to a different depth in the rack; filling the mold with concrete; sliding the mold to its original position; and filling the other molds in a similar manner.

Abstract: A group of molds, or baking tins, for placement of dough therein and in which the dough is baked. Each mold includes a bottom element surrounded by an upturned rim. The dough thus baked, in each mold, forms a rigid panel, and those panels are fitted together to form a gingerbread house, the molds including one for each of the walls, and the roof. The panels are fitted together and secured by placing icing in the junctures between the panels. The apparatus also includes a plurality of inserts or cookie cutters that are pressed into the fresh dough when it is put in the molds, and each cuts and isolates a piece of the dough from the main mass, that piece also being baked, and after the dough is baked, the inserts are removed, and the pieces are also removed, either by adhering to the inserts and being lifted out, or by being knocked out. This leaves openings in the panels which form windows and doors, and the pieces, or knockouts, are used to form a chimney to the house.

Abstract: Portable ice making container apparatus is provided for making blocks of ice. An inner container is used to receive water which is to be frozen to form a block of ice. A larger outer container is provided to receive and support the inner container therein. Support posts are provided at the bottom of the outer container to position the bottom of the inner container a short space above the bottom of the outer container. Flanges are disposed at the tops of both containers to interconnect the containers for the purpose of maintaining them in a nested, spaced-apart relationship. A cover member has walls constructed to fit snugly against the walls of the inner container to enclose the top of the inner container. The walls extend downward to a common bottom to form a recess for containing fluid to warm the bottom of the cover member. The outer container includes receptacles at the corners for receiving fluid to be dispersed throughout the space between the inner and outer containers.

Abstract: Method for slip casting toilet bowls and as mould for casting ceramic material in slip form, including a compartment having an air impermeable wall and arranged, in the casting position of the mould, so that when the mould is filled with slip air is trapped in the compartment. The compartment is located at a region where casting is not to occur and the trapped air not only achieves this but also prevents the surface of the compartment from becoming wetted, thereby making subsequent cleaning easier. The compartment may be formed either in a plaster mould part and its surface rendered air impermeable, or in a separate part made of air impermeable material, and assembled with the plaster mould parts. The mould is particularly suitable for casting a water-closet bowl, the compartment being located at the region where the open top of the bowl is formed.

Abstract: An evaporator unit for an ice making machine is formed of two vertical series of semi-cylindrical ice-forming molds joined tangentially back-to-back creating a cascade of fluid conduits between them through which refrigerant is passed. Water flows from a weir down over the exposed surfaces of the ice-forming molds until they become filled with ice whereupon hot gas is momentarily passed through the fluid conduits to release an assembly of ice pieces from the evaporator unit. Thereafter, the ice making cycle is repeated by continuing the water and refrigerant flow to produce another assembly of ice pieces.
