Providing Surface Facing On Product, Or Existing Structure, E.g., Veneer, Etc. Patents (Class 249/15)
  • Patent number: 4476074
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for forming cast-in-place structures includes the use of a sheet of fabric having a plurality of pockets for receiving support rods. The pockets are formed between an inner side surface of the sheet of fabric and a plurality of strands of material. The support rods are used to hold the fabric in place while a slurry of a cementitious material is poured into a cavity between the sheet of fabric and a base. The cementitious slurry flows between the strands of material into the support rod receiving pockets. The resulting concrete structure extends around the support rods to prevent them from being exposed to the environment. The strands of material are advantageously connected with the sheet of fabric by interweaving them with the threads of the fabric.

  • Patent number: 4245809
Abstract: A structural framing system and apparatus for use in the fabrication of a structural framework of selected geometric configuration of cast material, for example, concrete or plastic. The method and apparatus of the present invention includes a generally hollow hub form defined by a generally continuous shell of selected geometric form to provide a locus for radiating and outwardly extending frame member forms, which communicate with the hub form where a suitable hardenable material is provided to fill the hub form and the frame member forms to provide a self-supporting structural framework of interconnected hubs and frame members, the frame members extending divergently outwardly from the hub members. Structural reinforcements such as reinforcing steel can be attached within the hub to extend divergently outwardly through the frame form members.

  • Patent number: 4146599
Abstract: A device for applying exposed aggregate, which is utilized on the exterior and interior of building and home construction, as well as other structures, has been developed that consists of a rigid to flexible type backing with a resilient material such as foam or the like attached thereto forming the face of the device. It is essential to the device of the present invention that the resilient material forming the face of the device has sufficient resiliency to insure that aggregate that is placed thereon will not easily roll off the face of said device and yet in no way inhibit the adhesion of the exposed aggregate on a prepared surface when applied. In utilizing the device of the present invention and in carrying out the method of the present invention, aggregate is placed on the face of any number of devices of the present invention and such devices are used to directly apply aggregate to a surface such as a wall which has been prepared to receive exposed aggregate.

  • Patent number: 4131406
Abstract: The tool incorporates a plurality of penetrating blades arranged in a stamping plane. The blades are secured to a platform grid. The blades paralleling an edge of the platform form a closed end of the tool. The blades taper from the platform attached portion to a penetrating tip forming a tapering transverse profile. Blades terminating opposite the closed end of the tool include a mating blade face having a longitudinal profile complimentary to the transverse profile so that when the tool is positioned against other similar tools in making impressions, the closed end-to-open end interface is made without gaps or voids thereby eliminating hand work in the finishing operation.
