A series of brace members extend across the panel sections on a rear surface and maintain engagement of the panel sections and reinforce the panel sections against deformation of the forming face during use of the panel. The arrangement is economical to manufacture in many different sizes as may be required by a customer. Some welding is used, however the mechanical connection greatly reduces the amount of welding required. Replacement sections can easily be used to repair damaged panels.

The column side insert has a central opening in which a column is cast. The column side insert imparts a desired appearance to the exterior sides of the cast column. After a column is cast, the side sections are moved to an open position and the column side insert is separated from the column.

    Abstract: A mold frame for an apparatus for producing shaped concrete articles has two longitudinal and two transverse frame members which are detachably screwed to one another with form-fit on the four corners of the rectangular mold frame. The transverse frame members on their end faces have polygonal pins which fit closely into the correspondingly shaped recesses of the longitudinal frame members to resist torsional movement. The polygonal pins and recesses are penetrated by one locking screw at a time with which the mold frame is braced in itself. A mold insert which has several mold cavities is braced within the mold frame by a tongue and groove connection. The form-fit screw connection between the longitudinal and transferse frame members makes it possible to accommodate the very high forces and torques which are formed by shaking vibrations during the molding process.

A set of fabric panels is connected together to provide a short skirt into which snow is filled throughout and compacted on the periphery. Panels are then connected to a higher level and additional snow is filled in throughout and compacted on the periphery. When the panels have been completely connected and filled with snow, they encompass a snow dome packed around the surface. The panels may then be removed and the dome hollowed out to provide a snow shelter. The hollowing out process may be guided through the use of probes that are pressed into the dome from the outside to provide a depth gauge. A closeable door may also be installed against the dome opening after the dome is constructed.
