Preform Also Supported By Hole Or Recess In Mold Wall Patents (Class 249/94)
  • Patent number: 4316595
Abstract: A concrete post molding device is disclosed for simultaneously forming a plurality of uniform, reinforced concrete posts. The device includes a housing containing an annular chamber defined by a fixed horizontal first plate having a central cylindrical pipe and a spaced concentrically arranged sleeve vertically supported thereon. A plurality of circumferentially spaced radial fin members are connected with the pipe for dividing the chamber into a plurality of circumferentially arranged vertical compartments, and the first plate contains a plurality of openings arranged opposite the compartments. The concrete post molding device is characterized by novel reinforcing rod suspension and tensioning apparatus. An annular ring is connected with the upper portion of the pipe and includes a plurality of first chucks for gripping the upper portions of the reinforcing rods. The lower portions of the rods are suspended in spaced relation in the compartments and extend vertically through the first plate openings.

  • Patent number: 4296909
Abstract: In order to form in a concrete body during casting thereof a part-spherical recess around the head of a pickup bolt having a stem embedded in the body, an apparatus is employed comprising a pair of like elements each having an outer surface complementary to a respective half of the inner surface of the recess. These elements are formed with respective halves of a seat that complementarily surrounds the bolt head and the stem in the recess. A bridge is provided with a pair of pivots that define pivot axes for the respective elements, and a manipulating member is rigidly connected to this bridge.

  • Patent number: 4186907
Abstract: This fishing bait caster enables a fisherman, using a spinning rod and reel, to cast his line fifty feet, without having lead weights attached, and it consists primarily of a ball of ice, which has, frozen therein, a rubber band for attachment to a snap-swivel. The ball of ice, when cast out into the water, first acts as a bobber, and, in a short period of time, melts, thus allowing the bait to settle to the bottom naturally, which will enable a fisherman to catch more fish, get more fight from the fish, and lose less hooks.

  • Patent number: 4161837
Abstract: A fishing hook bait mold utilizes a pair of mold halves each pivotably secured to another and having a pair of mating faces. Projections and projection receiving openings align the mold halves in a closed condition wherein a pair of open mouth cavities each communicate with one another by way of an internal passageway. One of the cavities, partly formed in each of the mold halves, is smaller than the other cavity, similarly formed, each having an open mouth portion on opposite sides of the mold. A fish hook is installed having the fishing line end disposed in one cavity and the barb end in another. Pliable bait material, such as dough or the like, is forced into the open mouth portion of the barb containing cavity such that the dough is formed tightly about the fish hook. Opening the mold permits the baited hook to be removed from the mold.

  • Patent number: 4159098
Abstract: A form for casting stepped openings in concrete walls, the form having four elongated form members arranged in a rectangle, each form member having outer casting surfaces thereon to form one side of the opening. A corner piece at each corner of the form engages the ends of the form members thereat and completes the casting surfaces thereof, the corner pieces and form members being shaped to allow translatory movement of the form members away from the sides of the opening cast thereby so that the form members may be removed from the opening. Selected of the form members have recesses in the casting surface thereof for reception of hardware to be cast into the wall, the hardware being held in the recesses by magnets.

  • Patent number: 4141532
Abstract: A frame structure for casting a concrete building panel has a plurality of panel edge molding frame members with a generally U-shaped cross-section, a plurality of panel corner frame members with a configuration which corresponds to the angle of the corner of the panel. A number of edge molding frame members and the corner frame members are assembled in a panel molding frame with a length and width corresponding to the length and width of the panel to be molded with the ends of the edge molding frame members connected by the panel corner frame members, and with the opening of the U-shaped cross-section facing inwardly of the panel molding frame. Connectors rigidly connect the edge molding frame members to each other and to the panel corner frame members and a liner structure is provided in the interior of each of the edge molding frame members. The surfaces of the liner structure facing the space within the panel molding frame has a shape complementary to the shape of the edge of the panel to be molded.

  • Patent number: 4083162
Abstract: A connector assembly for use in aggregate structures cast over a form has a connector socket body embedded in the structure, the body having a threaded bore therein. An elongated locking member extends through a hole in the form and is threadedly engaged in the bore and has a lower section with a sleeve thereon. Projecting from the sleeve are a plurality of resilient splines which extend angularly outward from the sleeve in the direction of the socket body for engagement against the form to lock the socket body in place during solidification of the aggregate thereabout.

  • Patent number: 4053134
Abstract: Concrete pipe is molded between concentric steel cylindrical shells in which there are openings on each side receiving plastic inserts defining respective keyed cavities that remain in the molded concrete pipe after curing and removal of the concentric steel shells so that large keyed eye-bolts may be inserted in the respective keyed inserts. The initial positioning of the plastic mold keyed insert is accomplished by means of a keyed plastic plunger mounted on an attaching plate which includes notches on each side to fit over attaching screws on each side of the outside steel shell. The plunger has a keyed end. The hollow plastic insert with a soft gasket around the top has a keyed plunger inserted under pressure therein for removal therefrom and replacement by the eye-bolt after the curing of the pipe is completed.

  • Patent number: 4047557
Abstract: A mold and process for rebuilding grouser bars includes an upwardly disposed mold base member having a centrally disposed spine extending the length thereof. A pair of upwardly disposed mold side members abut the spine of the base member to form a mold cavity having the configuration of a grouser bar. A track plate is placed in abutment to the mold with the worn grouser bar extending into the mold cavity, and is clamped into such position. A consumable welding electrode is inserted through the top of the mold cavity, and the electroslag process is started. The mold is cooled by water jackets, so that the metal fuses to the worn grouser bar, rebuilding it to its original dimensions.
