Abstract: An optical inspection device 1A includes a light selection unit 30, a detection element 40, and a first image formation element 20. The light selection unit 30 has the plurality of wavelength selection regions 32 that selectively transmits or reflects the light rays L of mutually different wavelength regions. The detection element 40 detects scattering characteristic information of the light rays L having reached the light receiving surface 41 via the light selection unit 30. The first image formation element 20 causes scattered light scattered by a subject S to enter a light receiving surface 41 via the light selection unit 30. The plurality of wavelength selection regions 32 has different azimuth angles with respect to the optical axis z of the first image formation element 20.

Abstract: A method is provided for detecting intrusion into an optical cable of a single mode optical fiber network comprising where monitoring light signals are transmitted along a telecommunications optical fiber to be monitored either along a fiber additional to a data fiber or by multiplexing onto a common fiber. The received monitoring light signals after transmission along the telecommunications optical fiber are analyzed for changes indicative of movement of the optical fiber for detecting an intrusion event. The monitoring light signals at the receive end of the fiber signals are monitored by feeding the signals from the single mode fiber into a multi-mode fiber in a manner which causes changes in modal power distribution which can be detected by taking a portion only of the modes.

  • Patent number: 10175033
Abstract: A method and system are provided for accurately determining the point of impact of a bullet on a shooting disc or target plane and optionally the position of the shooter, wherein a number of light curtains are used for registering time instants of the passage of the bullet projectile through predetermined light planes by detecting the shadow cast by the bullet. Differences between the measured times and/or the measured times themselves are then used for calculating the velocity of the bullet and the points at which the trajectory of the bullet intersects the light planes and the target plane, which may be arranged or located behind or in front of the target disc/target disc arrangement of the system having the particular pattern of light curtains, allowing for the calculation of the centre impact point of the bullet on the shooting disc or target plane in 3D.

  • Patent number: 10054711
Abstract: With a method of operating a photoelectric sensor a pulsed light beam is sent by an emitter, received by a receiver spaced from the emitter, and converted into a received signal. Measurement values of the received signal are recorded by an evaluation device with the method. The recording of the measurement values is synchronized with the received signal by the evaluation device. Event times of positive and/or negative flanks of pulses of the received signal are identified by a flank detector of the evaluation device here. A controller of the evaluation device to which the event times are sent determines a subsequent event time after an event time if this lies within a time interval around an expected subsequent event time. Synchronisation is carried out of at least two successive event times have been identified. Measurement times are determined from the event times for recording the measurement values.
