Patent number: 9448465Abstract: A projection screen has a gold coated projection receiving surface that reflects light. The projection screen includes a support structure and an adhesive layer on top of the support structure. A fiber support is adhered to the support structure using the adhesive layer. A chalk and adhesive layer is applied on to the fiber support and a clay and adhesive layer is applied on to chalk and adhesive layer. A gold layer is applied to the clay and adhesive layer. A light or a portion thereof passes through each of the multiple ordered layers, including the gold layer, the clay and adhesive layer, the chalk and adhesive layer and reflects back a lustrous, iridescent image that has motion and depth qualities with transmuted color characteristics.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2013Date of Patent: September 20, 2016Inventor: Joseph Luis Ramirez

Patent number: 4367407Abstract: Luminosity values of a structure carrying information, in particular grey scale values, are transformed into corresponding isochromates. The transformation is effected by optically imaging the information carrying structure onto a layer of liquid crystals. By this means, a thermogram corresponding to the information carrying structure produced in the layer of liquid crystals, so that the luminosity values of the structure carrying information is transformed into isotherms in the layer of liquid crystals, and the isotherms are converted into isochromates as a result of the colour/temperature behaviour of the layer of liquid crystals.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1979Date of Patent: January 4, 1983Assignee: Bayer AktiengesellschaftInventors: Hans W. Gottert, Rainer Schiffer

Patent number: 3932757Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for providing a visual representation of the absorption or transmission coefficients of the elements of a two dimensional matrix of elements notionally defined in a cross-sectional plane through a body. The representation is in the form of an analogue display comprising superimposed lines of information scanned on the surface of a suitable screen, the brightness of each line being indicative of the absorption suffered by penetrating radiation on traversing a respective path through said plane of the body. The orientation of each scanned line depends on the orientation of the respective path with respect to the body.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1974Date of Patent: January 13, 1976Assignee: EMI LimitedInventor: Godfrey Newbold Hounsfield
