  • Patent number: 12060759
Abstract: An internal locking ring assembly for a wellhead system that includes a compact single body locking ring design that eliminates the need for a separate casing head and housing configuration or the use of numerous lockdown pins, therefore increasing the safety of the entire drilling operation. The internal locking ring includes outer and inner diameter grooves and angles to accommodate a running tool for collapsing the locking ring for positing into wellhead seats all at lower forces than what is typical due to the lower retrieving torque when trying to retrieve the packoff. Such lower retrieving torque and force allows the use of smaller cross sections of a running tool.

  • Patent number: 11726214
Abstract: This present disclosure provides a multi-ply radiation dosage indicator, which includes a first ply having two visible readable indicia thereon. The dual radiation sensitive zones are capable of changing opacity in response to exposure radiation. Each radiation sensitive zone can respond to an irradiation dose in tandem or independent of one another. Once the radiation sensitive zone exceeds the design exposure threshold, the visibility of the indicia is altered thereby providing an indication of irradiation exposure. The radiation sensitive zone may either be transparent or opaque and can change its opacity in response to exposure to radiation exceeding a predetermined threshold so as to change the visibility of the indicia.

  • Patent number: 9383588
Abstract: A method of interlacing images into an interlaced print file for controlling an output device. The interlacing method involves arranging a set of pixels in a line that is transverse but non-orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of a slant lens or lenticule. Each of these pixels is associated with a different frame/image, e.g., six or more frames are used in each interlaced image, with one being visible through the lens or lenticule at a time by a viewer. The slant lens interlacing method does not involve slicing each frame and then splicing these slices together. Instead, individual pixels from each frame are combined within a digital print file in a unique pattern to provide the non-orthogonal interlacing described herein (e.g., the new interlacing may be considered “matrix interlacing” or “angular-offset interlacing”), and a significantly larger amount of information is presented under each slant lens.

The radiation cassette has at least one portion thereof that is exposed outside of the reading apparatus. The cassette loader includes a shield cover disposed at least between a radiation source and the exposed portion of the radiation cassette, for thereby shielding the radiation cassette from radiation produced by the radiation source. The shield cover can be stored on the reading apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7209042
Abstract: A combination RFID tag intended to be associated with a host product, for example by being secured to the outside of a package containing a perishable product, e.g. foodstuffs or vaccines, which RFID tag is provided with a visually readable environmental condition exposure indicator. The visual indicator can sense the exposure of the RFID tag to an environmental condition e.g. temperature, experienced by the host product providing a visual indication, e.g. a color change, readable externally of the RFID tag of the sensed environmental condition. The visual indicator can be chemically active, for example an acetylenic agent, and may be responsive to cumulative temperature excursions over time. The novel RFID tag 11 and tag inspection methods of the invention permit an efficacious harnessing of information about the condition exposure history of a specific inventory item including product identification and related data.

Abstract: A phosphor screen comprises an inorganic phosphor capable of absorbing X-rays and emitting electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength greater than 300 nm. The phosphor is disposed on a support that has a reflective substrate comprising a continuous polyester first phase and a second phase dispersed within the continuous polyester first phase. The second phase contains microvoids that in turn contain barium sulfate particles. This support provides improved reflectivity particularly at shorter wavelengths.

Abstract: A method of mammography imaging includes exposing a patient to a peak voltage greater than 29 kVp. The film used in this method comprises a cubic grain silver halide emulsion layer on one side of the support and a tabular grain silver halide emulsion layer on the other side. The cubic grain silver halide emulsion layer comprises a combination of first and second spectral sensitizing dyes that provides a combined maximum J-aggregate absorption on the cubic silver halide grains of from about 540 to about 560 nm. The first spectral sensitizing dye is an anionic benzimidazole-benzoxazole carbocyanine, the second spectral sensitizing dye is an anionic oxycarbocyanine. The cubic grain silver halide emulsion layer also includes a mixture of gelatin or a gelatin derivative and a second hydrophilic binder other than gelatin or a gelatin derivative. The cubic silver halide grains comprise from about 1 to about 20 mol % chloride and from about 0.25 to about 1.

  • Patent number: 6806478
Abstract: The present invention provides an authentication system and methodology in which an authenticating agent is used as a product marker to help determine the source of products. The authenticating agent includes a substance that forms free radicals upon irradiation. The spectroscopic response of the agent when in the free radical state provides a characteristic “fingerprint” associated with genuine goods, but lacking in other goods. The goods incorporating the marker may be readily identified and/or distinguished from similar goods originating from another source. Furthermore, when not in the activated state, the authenticating agent typically is not detectable, thus providing the advantage of not being readily identifiable by counterfeiters.

  • Patent number: 6744055
Abstract: A Rn222 (radon) and Rn220 (thoron) radiation monitor that uses alpha-track detection film in multiple, separate chambers to detect radiation, wherein different diffusion barriers are used in each of the chambers to allow for signal differentiation between the chambers. The signal differentiation allows for differentiation between the levels of thoron and radon in the atmosphere tested. The radiation monitor may have three or four separate chambers, each with an electrically conductive housing and a cap with at least one opening to permit entry of ambient air. Inside each of the housings is an alpha-track detecting film, such as a solid-state nuclear track detector (SSNTD), with a thin electrically conducting cover. In one or more of the chambers is a diffusion barrier and seal placed within the housing to generally isolate the detecting film from thoron radiation in the housing.
