Publication number: 20020050570Abstract: A stimulable phosphor sheet is prepared by applying an electron beam to a stimulable phosphor or its source in a vacuum to vaporize a phosphor or its source and depositing the vaporized phosphor or source on the support, under the condition that the electron beam is applied to the stimulable phosphor or source at an accelerating voltage of 1.5 kV to 5.0 kV. The stimulable phosphor or its source is preferably in the form of a solid having a relative density of 80% to 98%.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2001Publication date: May 2, 2002Inventor: Yuji Isoda

Publication number: 20020047094Abstract: A stimulable phosphor sheet is formed by laminating two substantially identical transparent protective base sheets on either side of a stimulable phosphor layer. By this construction, said sheet requires no distinction of front and back surfaces, and a problem of confusing the front and back surfaces can be eliminated.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2001Publication date: April 25, 2002Applicant: FUJI PHOTO FILM CO., LTD.Inventor: Yuzuru Ohtsuka

Patent number: 6376844Abstract: A stimulable phosphor sheet for a radiation image recording and reproducing method comprising the steps of recording a radiation image as a latent image, irradiating the latent image with stimulating rays to release stimulated emission, and electrically processing the emission to reproduce the radiation image, is preferably composed of a stimulable phosphor-containing grid partition that contains a stimulable phosphor, a UV or visible light-emitting phosphor, or a reflective material and two-dimensionally divides the phosphor sheet on its plane to give plural small rectangular sections, and stimulable phosphor-incorporated areas which are rectangularly sectioned with the grid partition and which have a reflectance at the wavelength of the stimulating rays which differs from that of the grid partition.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2000Date of Patent: April 23, 2002Assignee: Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.Inventors: Seiji Tasaki, Katsuhiro Kohda

Patent number: 6340820Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for detecting near-visible frequency light comprising a sensor which includes a near-visible to visible light conversion phosphor defining an active area and a covering having a thickness, the covering adapted to substantially protect the phosphor from degradation. The phosphor extends to within about a first distance of a flush portion of a first edge, the first distance corresponding approximately to the thickness of the covering. In an alternative embodiment, the active area comprises an aperture.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 1999Date of Patent: January 22, 2002Assignee: New FocusInventors: Katharine E. Youden, David F.
