Latch Lug Extends Transversely To Axis Of Manipulator Patents (Class 251/105)
  • Patent number: 11131402
Abstract: A locking mechanism for a valve handle has a slider arranged to slide back and forth in a slot in the valve handle, between a lock position, in which the slider engages with a stop on the valve body and an unlock position, in which the slider does not engage with a stop. The slider is formed in two parts, which are inserted from opposite sides of the slot and snap fit together. The slider has indicia to indicate whether the slider is in the lock or unlock position, and the slider is arranged so as to cover the fastener which attaches the valve handle to the valve body.

  • Patent number: 8550426
Abstract: A dual-motion collar device is described, which elicits an additional motion from an operator when initiating a parking brake release in a vehicle. The collar device comprises top and bottom collars with a compressed and torsionally stressed spring there between, such that the collar device maintains a park brake plunger knob in a locked state. An operator twists the top collar to align interlocking features on the top and bottom collars, and then pushes downward to unlock the collar device. The operator then pushes downward on a park brake plunger knob around which the collar device is installed to actuate a parking brake valve assembly and release the parking brake.

  • Patent number: 8528841
Abstract: A spray switch for spray gun includes an elastic wire buckled to a main pipe of the spray gun. The elastic wire has symmetric lateral portions and symmetric guide pins on two ends thereof. A press handle pivoted to a main body of the spray gun is capable of controlling a flow of water. The press handle has an open slot for slidly arranging the spray switch. The spray switch is assembled by a guide block and a buckle unit. The guide block has symmetric guides and recesses on two lateral sides for guiding and holding the guide pins. The spray switch can be switched up and down along the open slot to switch the guide block for engaging or ignoring the guide pins so as to switch the spray gun between modes of auto spray and manual spray.

  • Patent number: 8267373
Abstract: A single lever control for manually manipulating a hydraulic valve spool of a directional control valve, which comprises an elongate shaft encased within an outer casing and having first and second ends each being fixedly attached to an end cap and a pivot block, respectively. The outer casing comprising a cylindrical cup for housing a biasing element whereupon an applied upward force on the cylindrical cup causes the outer casing to move upwardly to the extent of lifting a latching member pivotally connected to the pivot block and releasing a locking mechanism. The mounting assembly comprising an adapter plate integrally connected to a vertical support member and having a large aperture for receiving a moveable stem associated with the hydraulic valve spool, an arrangement of which allows a valve-actuating stem associated with the pivot block to movably interact with the moveable stem as the single lever control is selectively manipulated.

  • Patent number: 8061683
Abstract: Manual valve operators having a locking device are described. An example manual operator includes a lever rotatably coupled to a locking plate and has a handle that pivots between a first position to prevent rotation of the lever relative to the locking plate and a second position to enable rotation of the lever relative to the locking plate. A lockout member is removably coupled to the handle. The handle has an aperture to receive at least a portion of the lockout member. The lockout member engages a portion of the lever to prevent the handle from pivoting between the first and second positions to prevent rotation of the lever relative to the locking plate when the lockout member is coupled to the handle.

  • Patent number: 7419133
Abstract: A clamp apparatus for selectively occluding a resilient tube to prevent free flow of fluid in the tube. The device comprises a base member to which the resilient IV tube is attached or through which it passes, and a slide clamp that slides relative to the base member and relative to the tube. The aperture in the slide clamp has a relatively open hole at one end, through which the tube passes when the slide clamp is an open position, allowing fluid to flow through the tube. The aperture also has a relatively constricted slot at the other end, through which the tube passes when the slide clamp is in the occluding position, preventing fluid flow through the tube. A deflectable cantilevered locking arm on the base interlocks with a detent on the slide clamp to lock the slide clamp at the occluding position to avoid inadvertent free flow. A release tab that is used to release the locking arm from the slide clamp is located off center to avoid inadvertent activation.

  • Patent number: 6148851
Abstract: A lock apparatus for a valve that has a valve body and an actuator stem protruding therefrom for selectively rotating a flow control member within the valve body between open and closed positions and a handle attached to the valve stem that defines a first axis. The lock apparatus includes a slider plate that is movably supported on the valve stem and is selectively slidable along a second axis that is substantially transverse to the first axis to a position wherein said slider plate contacts a portion of the valve body when the flow control member is in either of the open and closed positions to retain the flow control member therein and another position wherein the slider plate does not contact the portion of the valve body to permit the valve stem to be rotated. An opening is provided through the slider plate for receiving a portion of a locking device therethrough.

  • Patent number: 5887850
Abstract: A unitary handle structure to be secured to the shaft of the valve and cooperate with the stops on the body to delimit and lock the valve element in its open and closed positions. The handle structure includes a socket portion fixed to the stem of the valve element and a handle portion extending from the socket portion and doubling back towards the socket portion and terminating at an end adjacent the socket portion. • Patent number: 5762317
Abstract: A child resistant valve assembly includes a valve with a movable valve stem to regulate the flow of hot water from a bottled water cooler system. An actuator cap is mounted to the movable valve stem, and a hood assembly covers the actuator cap. The hood assembly can slide in a direction generally perpendicular to the direction of movement of the movable valve stem. A spring, generally connected to the side of the actuator cap, lies between the actuator cap and the inside of the hood assembly. The hood assembly includes downwardly projecting tabs. The spring biases the hood assembly toward a position such that the tabs are located directly above the annular upper surface of the valve. Downward motion of the valve stem is thus prevented. When the hood assembly is first moved laterally to allow the stoppers to pass to a position not directly above the upper surface of the valve, the valve stem can be pushed down allowing hot water to be dispensed.

  • Patent number: 5069421
Abstract: A safety device for a pneumatic tool having a body and an operation lever and a valve stem lowered by the operation lever has an axially movable pivot shaft by which the operation lever is pivoted to one end of the main body of the pneumatic tool. A stop is formed on the pivot shaft so as to move between a resting position and an operating position together with the pivot shaft. A conical coil spring is provided to urge the operation lever upward by its torsional action and the stop as well as the pivot shaft toward the resting position of the stop by its compressive action. A receiving chamber is formed in the operation lever at a position where it coincides with the stop when the stop is moved to the operating position by the depressing of the pivot shaft. When, in this state, the operation lever is pushed downward to cause the stop to enter the receiving chamber, the valve stem is lowered and the operation of the pneumatic tool starts.
