  • Patent number: 11865293
Abstract: A body-fluid-and-medication leak-proof and closed medical connector has a first connecting assembly and a second connecting assembly. The first connecting assembly has a first sleeve and a first resilient valve. The first resilient valve tends to seal a first opening of the first sleeve. The second connecting assembly has a second sleeve and a second resilient valve. The second resilient valve tends to seal a second opening of the second sleeve. The two resilient valves can avoid leakage of the medication remaining in an injector and a vial, or remaining in a fluid infusion tube and a catheter. The two resilient valves also can seal in two directions to avoid leakage during connecting or separating the two connecting assemblies after supplying medication. Therefore, the transfer of the medication is more hygienic and safe, and the waste of medical resources is effectively reduced.

  • Patent number: 6843913
Abstract: The fuel filter housing (12) is formed of inlet segment (14) and outlet segment (16) that are telescopically mounted to each other, with a seal (44) positioned between the mounting flanges (38) and (40). Valve (60) is maintained displaced from its valve seat (58) by valve actuator (66), by the valve actuator engaging the perimeter of the filter (34). When the outlet housing segment (16) moves away from inlet housing segment (14), the filter and the valve actuator (66) also move, allowing the valve the close. The amplitude of movement of the valve (60) toward and away from its seat (58) is smaller than the sealed telescopic movement of the housing segments, so that the valve closes before the segments separate, thereby limiting the amount of fuel lost from the fuel filter assembly.

Abstract: Injection port valves are generally discussed herein and more particularly to port valves that have a valve housing with a nozzle having an inlet opening, a body section, a skirt section, an interior cavity, and a valve seat at an intersection of the first nozzle and the body section in the interior cavity. A piston may be positioned within the interior cavity of the valve housing having a body section having an exterior surface, an upper piston section, a seal surface, and a piston cavity, and wherein the body section includes a wall layer that emits lubricant from within the wall layer to the exterior surface. A nut, which may be a Luer nut, having a flow passage in communication with a discharge nozzle having a discharge lumen may be attached to an end of the skirt section of the valve housing to thereafter connect to an infusion line.

Abstract: A self-sealing male Luer connector for connection with a female Luer connector. The male Luer connector includes a housing having a distally-projecting tubular male body and a surrounding cuff interconnected by a proximal wall in which is formed at least one activation opening. A valve plug is slidably installed within the housing and formed with a distal end configured to sealingly engage the distal end of the male body's interior flow passage and with at least one activation arm at its proximal end configured to extend through the activation opening into the cavity formed between the male body and the cuff. An elastomeric device is sealingly configured within the activation opening about the activation arm to secure the valve plug in position and bias it distally. The proximal end of the male Luer connector may be configured as a conventional female connector, a blood collection device, or other such device.

  • Patent number: 6745998
Abstract: A male luer connector device that attaches to any standard female luer valve to open a flow channel between the two luers. The male luer is comprised of a tubular housing element, a resilient member contained within the housing and extending within an inner tubular portion defined in the housing, a resilient member that extends within the inner tubular portion of the housing, and a valve member attached to the resilient member that seals the tubular portion. When the male luer is engaged with any standard female luer, a female luer connector device drives the resilient member of the male luer into a compressed position to open the forward end of the male luer and permit liquid flow between the luers.

Abstract: An invention coupling for LP gas or similar fuel source systems is disclosed. The coupling includes a nipple having a nose and a recess, a nut notably disposed in the recess and a fuse disposed between the nut and the nose. The coupling automatically decouples from the fuel source when the fuse acts and shuts off the fuel flow.

  • Patent number: 6279608
Abstract: The invention relates to a connection for connecting a measuring device (6) to a gas pipe, comprising: a connecting element (1) for arranging in the gas pipe which divides the gas pipe into a first and a second piece (2, 3); a connecting plug (4) which can be coupled to the connecting element and which is connected to the measuring device by means of a measuring line (5), wherein the connecting element comprises a valve which is actuable by the connecting plug and which normally mutually connects the first and the second piece of the gas pipe and which, when the connecting plug is coupled to the connecting element, connects the first piece of the gas pipe to the measuring line and closes the second piece of the gas pipe. As a result of these measures the valve is operated by the connecting plug, so that opening and closing of taps is no longer necessary. The operation of such a connection is therefor greatly simplified.

  • Patent number: 6257550
Abstract: A drain valve adapter is for use with a hose and a drain valve mounted to a container, wherein the drain valve of the container defines a passageway for aqueous solution. The drain valve adapter comprises a tubular body having a mating member and a plunger member which are in fluid communication with each other, the plunger member being configured to be disposed inside the drain valve along the passageway. The drain valve further comprises a ring cap defining a through hole and being disposed in surrounding relation to the tubular body for releasably engaging the drain valve. The plunger member has at least one prong extending therefrom to force open a drain plug blocking the passageway of the drain valve. Preferably, the plunger member has a plurality of prongs extending therefrom. The plurality of prongs define spaces therebetween to allow free flow of the aqueous solution in the container. The mating member has a threaded outer surface for engaging with a female coupler of a standard garden hose.
