Manual And Pilot Valves Patents (Class 251/18)
  • Patent number: 11300980
Abstract: A timer-operated tap or timer cartridge for a device forming a timer-operated tap includes at least one opening for the inlet of the supply fluid and at least one opening for the outlet of the supply fluid. A main closure member is received in a main seat formed in at least one outlet or inlet opening to close the tap and is removed from the main seat to open the tap and allow the passage of the supply fluid between the inlet and outlet openings. Control means for controlling the movement of the main closure member by means of a control rod; and timer means intended for moving the main closure member into the seat thereof at the end of a given time interval preceding the removal thereof. An element forming an intermediate closure member and an associated intermediate seat may also be provided.

  • Patent number: 10487486
Abstract: A flush valve has a relief valve including a stationary relief valve housing and an axially-translatable valve element. The axially-translatable valve element has an axial end that can be selectively translated to unseal an upper opening in a relief passageway through the stationary relief valve housing in order to permit fluid flow therethrough in order to initiate a flush cycle by the lifting of a diaphragm assembly. The axially-translatable valve element may include lead screw-like features which can be used to axially drive the axially-translatable valve element relative to the stationary relief valve housing to open or close the relief valve.

  • Patent number: 9440059
Abstract: A hemostatic valve device for use in inserting an interventional device into a body lumen of a patient. The valve device includes a housing that defines a cavity between first and second end openings. A valve structure is disposed within the cavity, and defines a variable diameter channel for receiving the interventional device. An annular chamber is generally formed between the valve structure and the housing inner surface, and can be filled with fluid. The housing is movable between first and second positions so that the volume of the cavity and the diameter of the channel vary to a degree for the valve structure to form a seal along the interventional device inserted within the channel. The valve structure may be configured to seal without substantial twisting.

  • Patent number: 8844899
Abstract: A control valve includes a signal pressure passage that transmits a pilot pressure in first and second pilot chambers as a signal pressure of another device, and first and second connecting grooves that connect the first and second pilot chambers to the signal pressure passage when a spool is in a neutral position. When the pilot pressure is led into the first pilot chamber such that the spool moves, the first connecting groove connects the first pilot chamber to the signal pressure passage while the second connecting groove separates from the signal pressure passage. When the pilot pressure is led into the second pilot chamber such that the spool moves, the second connecting groove connects the second pilot chamber to the signal pressure passage while the first connecting groove separates from the signal pressure passage.

Abstract: A split-cycle engine includes a rotatable crankshaft. A compression piston is slidably received within a compression cylinder and operatively connected to the crankshaft such that the compression piston reciprocates through an intake stroke and a compression stroke during a single rotation of the crankshaft. An expansion piston is slidably received within an expansion cylinder and operatively connected to the crankshaft such that the expansion piston reciprocates through an expansion stroke and an exhaust stroke during a single rotation of the crankshaft. A crossover passage interconnects the expansion and compression cylinders. The crossover passage includes a crossover compression valve and a crossover expansion valve defining a pressure chamber therebetween. A pilot crossover valve is disposed between the crossover passage and the expansion cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20090026393
Abstract: Described here is a mechanism for a flow control device comprising of a valve casing, a plurality of buffer chambers, an elongated stem, and an actuating mechanism. The valve casing includes an inlet flow passage, an outlet flow passage, a valve seat in between, and a barrel housing extended from the flow passage. The buffer chamber is partitioned from the barrel housing by a moveable valve member and is comprised of a first channel and a second channel. The second channel is defined as a pilot valve and functions to adjust the inside pressure of the chamber. The elongated stem comprises of a plug that couples together with a pilot valve port.

  • Patent number: 5116521
Abstract: An aqueous lubrication treatment liquid for a cold plastic working of a metallic material comprises 50 to 400 g/l of a solid lubricant, for example, MoS.sub.2, 1 to 40 g/l of a surfactant, 10 ppm to 5000 ppm, in terms of colloidal titanium compound, water, and optionally, 5 to 150 g/l of a binder and 4 to 160 g/l of a metallic soap. This liquid exhibits a strong bonding to the metallic material and an excellent lubricating property, and prevents rusting of the metallic material.

  • Patent number: 4650152
Abstract: A valve for controlling the flow of a liquid coolant in a circuit interconnecting several hollow welding electrodes with a pressurized coolant source has dual ball check valves in the supply and return lines respectively and a spring and pressure responsive device for holding the ball check valve in the supply line open when the fluid pressure of the coolant in the cooling circuit is maintained. The device is responsive in operation to loss of pressure in the coolant supply line and the hollow electrodes to permit the dual ball check valves to close upon a loss of pressure as occasioned by the burn out of one of the electrodes or the removal of the electrode from the circuit. The device may also originate an appropriate signal which may be directed to a remote electrical switch controlling the welding current.
