Publication number: 20140048427Abstract: A closed container having an interior at subatmospheric pressure is provided with an insert having top and bottom telescoped sleeves defining a closed chamber. The bottom sleeve has a bottom wall formed with a hole exposed at or through the container to ambient air at ambient pressure. The top sleeve is movable relative to the bottom sleeve between a raised position standing up from the bottom sleeve and a lowered position nested with the bottom sleeve. Latch elements connected between the sleeves are operable from outside the container between a latching position engaged together and preventing the top sleeve from moving into the raised position and a disengaged position permitting such movement. Thus, when the latch elements are moved out of the engaged position, the top sleeve moves into the raised position and air is aspirated through the hole into the chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 29, 2013Publication date: February 20, 2014Inventor: Edward HELBLING

Patent number: 8505506Abstract: An oil pressure control apparatus includes a control valve mechanism being in communication with a pump via a first fluid passage and being in communication with a control apparatus via a second fluid passage, a third fluid passage diverging from the first fluid passage to supply oil to a predetermined portion other than the control apparatus, and a fluid passage dimension regulating mechanism including a movable member provided at the third fluid passage and including an opening for regulating a fluid passage dimension of the third fluid passage. The fluid passage dimension regulating mechanism is in communication with a fourth fluid passage diverging from the second fluid passage and biases the movable member to a side increasing the fluid passage dimension by applying the hydraulic pressure of the fourth fluid passage to the movable member separately from the hydraulic pressure of the third fluid passage.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2011Date of Patent: August 13, 2013Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Eiji Miyachi, Yasuo Ozawa

Patent number: 7175154Abstract: Piston structure having a first side and a second side and in a recess (6) formed in an outer portion of the piston (1, 22) a resilient sealing element (5, 11, 21) is placed. The axial width and at least in some places the radial depth of the recess (6) are greater than the cross-sectional diameter of the sealing element (5, 11, 21) which is able to move, owing to the pressure difference of the two sides, between a first and a second position, thereby alternately ensuring a cumulated cross-sectional area at most A1, and a cross-sectional area A0, or a cumulated cross-sectional area at most A2, and a cross-sectional area A0. A1 and A2 are substantially smaller than A0. The invention further relates to a liquid feeder valve including this piston structure for allowing liquid flow-through in a certain amount or for a period of time from a pressurized source of liquid.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2002Date of Patent: February 13, 2007Inventor: József Bereznai

Patent number: 6230937Abstract: A dispensing outlet assembly for a connection to a beverage container such as a bottle, comprises a body having an inlet for connection to the container, and a dispensing outlet through which beverage is dispensed from the container. A flow passage between the inlet and the outlet contains a ball-type non-return valve and an annular color element through which beverage dispensed from the container passes so as to impart a color to the beverage as it is dispensed.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1999Date of Patent: May 15, 2001Assignee: United Distillers & Vintners (HP) LimitedInventors: David Johnson, Julie Hatch, Andrew Shilton, Colin Purdey, Andrew C Streeter, Simon Ogle, Heather Kendle

Patent number: 4577829Abstract: A self closing valve has a housing with a water inlet and outlet and with a valve piston positioned inside it in such a way that the end of the piston facing away from the valve seat demarcates a discharge chamber in conjunction with the inlet and outlet through flowthrough passages that are activated in opposite directions by supplementary-valve controls in such a way that the duration of operation is determined by a decelerated opening stroke of the valve piston and closure is activated by a rapid closing stroke of the valve piston. The initiating position of the supplementary-valve controls that is provided during the opening activation of the valve piston is designed to maintain itself hydraulically as the result of a pressure difference generated at a choking device as the result of the flow through the valve and discontinuing the automatic maintenance shifts the supplementary-valve controls.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1984Date of Patent: March 25, 1986Assignee: Georg Rost und Soehne Armaturenfabrik GmbH und Co. Patent number: 4171572Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the actuation of a light for illuminating the work zone adjacent the operative end of a dental handpiece. The apparatus includes (a) switch for actuating a light source when a signal is transmitted to the actuating switch from the power transmitting line for the dental handpiece, (b) line for transmitting the signal to the actuating switch from the power transmitting means for the handpiece, and (c) delay shutoff switch associated with the actuating switch for maintaining the light source on for a predetermined period of time after transmission of power to the operative end of the handpiece is terminated and then causing the light source to be extinguished at the end of the predetermined period of time.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1977Date of Patent: October 23, 1979Assignee: Star Dental Manufacturing Co., Inc.Inventor: John E. Patent number: 4096215Abstract: The device for introducing a gas into a liquid by supplying gas to a gas introducing means located on the bottom of a tank in which the liquid is being held, and collecting the gas above the liquid after it passes through the liquid. A closure for the tank acts to collect the gaseous substances which pass upwardly out of the liquid by adjusting the volume of enclosed space above the liquid level. A means is also provided for removing at least some of the gaseous substances which have accumulated in the enclosed space above the liquid and reintroducing them into the supply being introduced into the liquid at the bottom of the tank.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1976Date of Patent: June 20, 1978Assignee: Messer Griesheim GmbHInventor: Erhard Albrecht
