  • Patent number: 7997459
Abstract: A metering valve is provided for a pressurised container containing a pharmaceutical formulation. The valve has a stem with a central flange and a hollow open end with a side port. The stem slides in a body having larger and smaller diameter portions, and being closed off by a seal against which the flange rests in an inoperative position. A second seal is located around the stem on the opposite side of the flange and trapped by a spring which urges the stem into its inoperative position. When the stem is depressed, the inner seal forms a sliding seal with the smaller diameter portion of the body to define a metering chamber filled with the pharmaceutical formulation. Continued depression opens the side hole to allow the contents of the metering chamber to be dispensed.

  • Patent number: 7255326
Abstract: A single-and-continual shot changeover device for a nailing gun includes a trigger shaft positioned in an interior of a trigger body, a trigger inner member pivotally connected with an intermediate fitting stage of the trigger shaft, which also has two slide shaft stages at two sides of the fitting stage for two springs and two press buttons to fitting around respectively. The two press buttons are elastically pushed to shift outward to engage one of two—an upper and a lower—grooves of the two sidewalls of the trigger body. When the two press buttons are pressed inward, the trigger inner member can be shifted up and down to let the press buttons secured at either of the two limit grooves by means of the trigger shaft. Then the trigger inner member is controlled to separate or not from the safety connect rod for changing firing a single shot or continual shot.

  • Patent number: 6086038
Abstract: Apparatus primarily for use in seating and unseating a valve by turning the valve stem between a fully opened and fully closed position. In one form of the invention, a lever arm attached to the valve stem is connected at one corner of a triangular shaped crank arm by a link. A second corner of the crank arm is rotatably mounted on a fixed shaft and the third corner is connected to an actuator. The shaft, the link and a pivot point on the distal end of the lever arm and are all brought into alignment along a common axis when the valve is in a fully closed position. Moving the actuator in the opposite direction breaks the alignment between the link and the crank arm and pulls the lever arm toward a valve opening position.

  • Patent number: 5772181
Abstract: An adjustable pivot valve assembly (10) for use in a fluid flow system (S). A valve body (12) has a fluid flow path therethrough and includes an inlet (14), an outlet (16), and a valve orifice (18) formed intermediate the inlet and outlet. A valve seat (28) is mounted for movement relative to the orifice to open and close the fluid path. The valve seat is attached to a valve stem (30). A solenoid assembly (50) is supplied an input from a sensor/control unit (S) to effect movement of the valve seat. What would otherwise be a linear movement of the valve stem and valve seat is translated into movement of a plunger (78) interconnected with the valve stem to produce a movement which is orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the valve stem. This translated movement causes the valve seat to pivotally move about the orifice to effect an opening of the orifice for fluid to flow between the inlet and outlet.
