    Abstract: A stop valve includes a connection-switching part capable of switching a connection state between a rod part having an end portion which is connected to a valve disc and an actuator part which linearly moves the rod part. The connection-switching part includes a concave engaging part which is recessed the rod part, a casing having an accommodation space joined to the concave engaging part formed therein, a plurality of frame pieces, a sleeve part which is movable between the frame piece accommodation position and a frame piece detachment position, and a gas introduction part through which a gas is introduced into the accommodation space. The sleeve part moves from the frame piece detachment position to the frame piece accommodation position using the gas. The casing is in contact with the frame pieces at the frame piece accommodation position when moving toward the second side in the central axis direction.

In a diaphragm, in a state where a fluid inflow channel is opened, an upper surface of an outer circumferential edge portion comes into surface contact with the taper-shaped lower surface a of the pressing adaptor, and a lower surface of the outer circumferential edge portion comes into line contact with the outer circumference of the flat portion of the bottom surface of the depression of the body.

When measurement is complete, the valve is closed. As the valve closes, process material exits the valve through the vent port while at the same closing off the valve to the process, preventing process material from flowing from the process to the vent line.

A valve mechanism is movable between an open and a closed position to control water flow therethrough. A telescoping control stem extends between the body section and the valve mechanism for opening and closing the valve mechanism. The control stem is operable for telescoping in length when the assembly length is adjusted so that water is contained at a sufficient depth below the ground surface to reduce the possibility of freezing in the assembly.

Fixedly secured to the lower end of the first tubular member is a second or upper compression plate spaced from the lower plate. Sandwiched and pre-loaded between the upper and lower compression plates is a valve plug made of an expandable material. The shaft is provided with a double-thrust ball bearing which abuttingly engages the upper end of the first tubular member to permit independent rotation of the shaft relative to the former member.

    Abstract: A closure head of a plumbing valve engages a protruding bead formed around one opening of a hollow highly flexible sealing member. Supply fluid is conducted to the interior of the sealing member through another opening. The hollow sealing member provides a flexible lip surrounding the bead, the lip responding to pressure of the supply to urge the bead firmly into engagement with the closure head. The lip deflects upon engagement with the closure head and its inner side is free of restraints that would prevent deflection. Limits are placed upon movement of the head while no effective limits are placed upon deflection of the lip. A lip around the supply port to the sealing member also effects a static seal. The sealing member is snap fitted into the bottom of a removable cage.
