Patent number: 6053200Abstract: A process instrument isolation valve is disclosed having a valve body, a plurality of valve seats, a stem, a plug attached to the stem, and an actuator. The valve has an inlet, a sensor port and a vent port. In use, the valve is opened allowing process material to enter the sensor port where a measurement is taken. When measurement is complete, the valve is closed. As the valve closes, process material exits the valve through the vent port while at the same closing off the valve to the process, preventing process material from flowing from the process to the vent line.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 1998Date of Patent: April 25, 2000Assignee: ProVaCon, Inc.Inventors: Kevin Crochet, Edward A. Patent number: 5979490Abstract: An adjustable anti-freeze water delivery assembly for connecting with a water main buried in the ground comprises a body section with an inner bore and a water outlet. A water supply section couples to a water main below the ground surface and has an inner bore wherein the body section and supply section are telescopically engaged for delivering water from the water main to the water outlet. A valve mechanism is movable between an open and a closed position to control water flow therethrough. A telescoping control stem extends between the body section and the valve mechanism for opening and closing the valve mechanism. The control stem is operable for telescoping in length when the assembly length is adjusted so that water is contained at a sufficient depth below the ground surface to reduce the possibility of freezing in the assembly.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1997Date of Patent: November 9, 1999Inventor: John Raymond Mirlisena, Sr.

Patent number: 5291919Abstract: The high-pressure valve has a valve body defining an elongated longitudinal extension, delimiting a chamber and having an input port, which is defined on its lateral surface, and an output port, which is arranged on a first axial end thereof. The valve body supports, on a second end, a motor and a manual actuation member which can be connected, by virtue of coupling members, to a shaft for the actuation of a first bush accommodated within the chamber. The first bush is provided with actuation elements for the sealed non-rotational movement of adjustment pin which opens a connecting path between the input port and the output port. The adjustment pin engages in a neck located in the chamber and moves toward the output port, in order to open the connecting path, and in the opposite direction, in order to close it. Sensors are furthermore provided for detecting movement of the adjustment pin.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 1992Date of Patent: March 8, 1994Assignee: Secondo Mona S.p.A.Inventor: Luciano Calzavara

Patent number: 4064904Abstract: A closure head of a plumbing valve engages a protruding bead formed around one opening of a hollow highly flexible sealing member. Supply fluid is conducted to the interior of the sealing member through another opening. The hollow sealing member provides a flexible lip surrounding the bead, the lip responding to pressure of the supply to urge the bead firmly into engagement with the closure head. The lip deflects upon engagement with the closure head and its inner side is free of restraints that would prevent deflection. Limits are placed upon movement of the head while no effective limits are placed upon deflection of the lip. A lip around the supply port to the sealing member also effects a static seal. The sealing member is snap fitted into the bottom of a removable cage.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1976Date of Patent: December 27, 1977Assignee: Price Pfister Brass Mfg. Co.Inventor: Julius L. Tolnai
