Publication number: 20120317956Abstract: A constant volume combustion chamber, combustor, and method for constant volume combustion involve combusting a fuel in a chamber sealed by a pintle having a conical portion fitted into a conical nozzle throat and pulling the pintle away from the nozzle throat to allow combustion products to exhaust through a nozzle outlet. The shapes and surfaces of the pintle and nozzle throat provide for sealing the chamber at high pressures while resisting surface wear. Operational parameters for the combustor may be computer controlled in response to measured pressures and temperatures in the combustor.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2012Publication date: December 20, 2012Applicant: STREAMLINE AUTOMATION, LLCInventors: Roberto Di Salvo, Stephen Doherty, Alton J. Publication number: 20120313028Abstract: A vehicle hand control brake valve includes a piston, positioned based on an engagement of a vehicle parking brake, a service brake actuation valve, and a control mechanism. The control mechanism mechanically interacts with the service brake actuation valve to set a position of the service brake actuation valve. A level of actuation of vehicle service brakes is set based on the position of the service brake actuation valve. The service brake actuation valve is set to a position to actuate the service brakes when the control mechanism is set to a latch position. The control mechanism only is latched in the latch position when the vehicle parking brake is engaged.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 10, 2011Publication date: December 13, 2012Applicant: Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLCInventors: Charles E. Publication number: 20120298225Abstract: A media control valve has a valve body having a media inlet and a media outlet and a plunger which is positioned within the valve body. The plunger is connected to a metering control assembly in the bore of the valve body and can be removed without disturbing the control assembly. A sleeve is positioned in the valve body between the valve body and the plunger. The sleeve includes an integral seal for sealing the valve to a flow device such as a base. The valve stem or post for housing the control knob may have metering marks for visually indicating the position of the plunger relative to the sleeve. The control knob on the valve is aligned with the metering marks on the valve body, whereby the valve opening may be calibrated by visual indication of the alignment of the metering marks with the lower edge of the control knob.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2012Publication date: November 29, 2012Inventor: Phoung Taylor Nguyen

Publication number: 20120294971Abstract: The invention provides devices that are attached to an extruder making the operation thereof more efficient and convenient and allowing for a quick change over of parts used to make various products prepared in the extrusion process. A high pressure relief assembly is attached to the extruder that allows for the rapid release of pressure from the extruder at the end of the process by venting product under pressure from the extruder and the extruder also has attached thereto a quick assembly locking device that allows for the exchange of assemblies, such as a density control assembly and other assembles, without the removal of nuts, bolts, and clamps by attaching the assembly to an arm that can be moved in and out of place in front of the extruder and wherein the device has a locking mechanism that seals and releases the assembly from the extruder.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2010Publication date: November 22, 2012Inventors: Tyler Dean Simpson, Dwight E.
