Abstract: A drain plug has a stud that has a head and a shaft joined to the head. A resilient swell sleeve is frictionally mounted on the shaft and is sized to fit within a drainage hole. First and second cams are mounted on the shaft. The first cam abuts the swell sleeve and does not rotate with the shaft. The second cam rotates with the shaft. Rotating the stud in a first direction causes the first and second cams to engage each other so as to produce an axial force that causes the swell sleeve to swell so as to create a seal between the swell sleeve and the drainage hole. Rotating the stud in a second direction terminates the axial force thereby allowing the swell sleeve to return to its normal shape so that the drain plug can be loosened from the drainage hole.

  • Patent number: 7484643
Abstract: A liquid dispensing valve having a body portion hermetically mounted to a free end of a discharge nozzle of a reservoir and defining a seat; a rod carrying a seal and being selectively displaced between a closing position in which the seal is seated on the seat, and a maximum opening position in which the seal is spaced from the seat; a cap portion hermetically affixed to the body portion downstream the seat and around the rod, and defining a discharge chamber; and an elongated spout having a discharge end turned downwards, said cap portion and elongated spout being configured and dimensioned so that, when the seat is closed, the mass of residual liquid contained in the discharge chamber forms, inside the latter, a vacuum which is sufficient to retain said mass of liquid inside the dispensing valve.

Abstract: A flush actuator assembly is adapted to fit existing valve bodies. The flush actuator assembly includes a plunger rod which is capable of displacing the relief valve post more or less to adjust the flow of water through the flush valve during a single flush. The relief valve post may be displaced different amounts by adjusting the actuator assembly such that the plunger rod contacts the relief valve post at different locations along the central longitudinal axis of the post. Additionally, the relief valve post may be displaced different amounts by providing a plunger rod that has a different range of travel. A method associated with displacing the relief valve post varying amounts is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7445055
Abstract: A tip valve assembly for a pneumatic tool with an integrated wear surface. The tool has a portion with an air channel bore housing. The tip valve assembly includes a first valve member having a bore and defining a valve seat about the bore and a second valve member capable of forming a seal with the valve seat. The second valve member can be tilted from the valve seat to permit air flow through the bore of the first valve member. The wear surface projects over only a portion of the cylindrical wall in the bore housing in conjunction with an edge of the second valve member that can be tilted farthest, so the second valve member does not contact the cylindrical wall of the bore housing. As an anti-rotation feature, the second valve member may have an outer periphery with a shaped recess between lobes.

Abstract: A check valve for pick-and-place applications includes a valve housing with a chamber, and a chamber shuttle with a cavity. The chamber shuttle is accessible from outside the chamber and adapted to receive a suction head. The chamber shuttle is adapted to travel within the chamber and establish “valve-open” and “valve-closed” states based upon the contact of the suction head upon the work piece surface. Blow off of the work piece surface is allowed by a fluid flow channel interposed between the suction head and the chamber shuttle cavity.

  • Patent number: 7347405
Abstract: An inlet valve is provided for a pneumatic tool. The pneumatic tool defines a space and a passageway communicated with the space. The inlet valve includes a housing and a plunger. The housing is movable in the space between a first position where it blocks the space from the passageway and a second position where it allows the communication between the space and the passageway. The housing defines an inlet and an outlet. The plunger is inserted through the outlet and movable in the pneumatic tool between a first position, a second position and a third position. An end of the plunger is put in the housing for pushing the housing, from inside, to the second position as the plunger is in the third position. The plunger includes an annular flange put in the housing for blocking the outlet as the plunger is in the first position and for opening the outlet as the plunger is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 7258322
Abstract: A manually operated switch for a faucet has a body, an inner pipe, a switching valve assembly. The body is hollow. The inner pipe is located inside of the body and has a flowing way. The flowing way is formed through the inner pipe. The switching valve assembly is slidably mounted inside of the flowing way of the inner pipe and extends out the body. When the switching valve assembly closes the flowing way of the inner pipe, the water pressure will keep the switching valve assembly closed. After the water pressure applied to the switching valve assembly is released or dismissed, the switching valve assembly returns back to an original position so that the flowing way is opened. The opening and closing flowing way can manually control the way of water flowing so that a user may not be scared or burned by the water.

  • Publication number: 20070181615
Abstract: A drip resistant dispensing valve for fluids is disclosed, which provides a dispensing outlet configured to minimize the tendency for fluid to drip from the valve following a dispensing operation. The dispensing outlet exhibits curved interior surfaces and a curved outlet face construction; the face situated a distance away from the valve body. Such construction assists in minimizing the retention of fluid on the surfaces of the dispensing outlet, and migration of the fluid to surfaces outside of the dispensing outlet that could tend to promote growth of biological contaminates and/or provide additional surfaces that could pool fluid following a dispensing operation and thereafter drip from the valve. A shell is provided around the dispensing outlet to assist in avoiding contamination of the valve and of the fluid being dispensed through the valve, and to aid in positioning a receptacle for receiving fluid from the dispensing valve.

  • Patent number: 7093615
Abstract: A water saving faucet valve includes an elongated body having inlet and outlet ends, and high and low pressure chambers interconnected by a coaxial flow channel. A valve stem is slidably retained in the flow channel to move between a lowered position, in which water is prevented from flowing through the valve, and a raised position, in which water is permitted to flow through the valve. The valve stem is raised and lowered by movement of a cam on a shaft that is rotated by movement of an elongated actuation arm, such that the valve can be fully actuated by a slight pressure applied to the arm, and automatically shuts off when the pressure is removed. The valve includes apparatus for coupling it to the outlet of a conventional standard faucet, and may include apparatus for aerating the water flowing through it.
