Valve Actuator Surrounding Pipe, Inlet Or Outlet Patents (Class 251/340)
  • Patent number: 11906106
Abstract: By mounting a line blind valve (2) between a grease container (1) and a grease lubrication pump (3) replacement and mounting of the grease container can take place without leak of grease during the mounting as the outlet section must turn downwards during the mounting. By providing the installation with a line blind valve this can block grease leakage during the mounting and thereafter be opened. The valve (2) includes a flat central part (10) with an opening (11) which part can be displaced in relation to an upper positioned inlet section (4) and a lower positioned outlet section (8) and by displacement of the slide open and close for passage. In order to keep these parts (4, 8, 10) together a magnet (6,7) is embedded in each of the two parts (4, 8) by which a sealed connection is secured with no air infiltration and metal particles held back.

Abstract: A flow interrupter for gas flow delivered by a delivery conduit in a respiratory treatment system permits temporary interruption of flow in the conduit. A manipulator may be attached to the flexible wall. The flexible wall sleeve may be adapted to twistably collapse between the first and second ends so as to reduce the passage of the channel by operation of the manipulator. The flow interrupter may be formed with a swivel and operation of the sleeve may be implemented by rotation of the swivel. Sufficient rotation of such a swivel may form a vortex closure of material to close the channel. Release of the manipulator may then permit unwinding of the vortex closure, re-opening the channel.

  • Patent number: 7040348
Abstract: The invention relates to a arrangement for single-grip mixing faucets operated by turning only, comprising a fixed inlet disc (11) and a rotating regulation disc (16) arranged above each other forming thereby a plane seal, for regulating the amount and ratio of the cold and hot water flowing through the system. The cold water inlet channel (12) connected to the cold water network and the hot water inlet channel (13) are developed in the fixed inlet disc (11) whereas the cold water flow-through channels (17) and the hot water flow-through channels (18) are developed in the rotating regulation disc (16). The cold water flow-through channel (17) and the hot water flow-through channel (18) are connected to the mixing space (19), which is developed either in the regulation disc (16), or in a turning element (20) being in an operation connection with the regulation disc (16), at the side of the regulation disc (16) opposite to the inlet disc (11).

Abstract: The invention relates to a control cartridge and to a fitting equipped therewith, for regulating the water flow at a water outlet of a fitting. The control cartridge comprises a first control element which is provided with passage holes and can be rotated about an axis, and a stationary, second control element which bears against the first control element and is provided with passage holes, and an actuating element, the first control element and the second control element being arranged in a cartridge housing. The actuating element is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the first control element via a connection reaching through the cartridge housing. When in use, the cartridge housing can be connected fixedly to a first outlet part of the water outlet and is capable of holding a second outlet part which, when in use, is arranged downstream with respect to the first outlet part.

  • Patent number: 6837272
Abstract: A valve for a branching and/or connecting location of a piggable line for coating material such as paint includes a valve housing for a first throughgoing line, to which at least one second line is selectively connectable, as well as a valve closure body that is spring loaded by a valve spring and that is movable against the force of the valve spring. The valve housing and the valve closure body respectively have flushly aligned bores that have the same contour and the same diameter as each other, and that are directly adjoining each other in the closed position. This diameter is equal to the clear inner diameter of the piggable line. For opening and closing the second line, the valve closure body is movable in the valve housing in the axial direction of the bore thereof.

Abstract: A closed system suction catheter has a catheter enclosed within a flexible envelope secured between a patient end fitting and a machine end fitting. The patient end fitting has a cleaning chamber with a valve at its patient side and is normally closed so that the cleaning chamber is isolated from the patient. The valve has an outer rigid housing enclosing a one-piece elastomeric moulding of tubular shape. The elastomeric moulding has two pads projecting externally through openings in the outer housing. The elastomeric moulding also has a web extending internally across its diameter with a diametrically-extending slit aligned with the pads. A collar mounted on the housing is slidable along the housing to engage the pads so as to apply pressure across the web and open the slit, thereby allowing the catheter to be advanced to the patient.

  • Patent number: 6722631
Abstract: A valve device has an outer sleeve with a first end to be secured in an orifice of a container. A second end is releasably attached to a receptacle. Walls define a generally cylindrical support passage which extends from said first end to said second end. An inner sleeve is within the support passage with walls defining a generally outer surface adjacent the walls of the outer sleeve. The walls rotatably support the inner sleeve and define an internal through passage. A butterfly valve member is in the through passage. The butterfly valve has diametrically opposed first and second pivot stubs which extend at least into the walls of the inner sleeve to rotatably support the butterfly valve. The walls of the outer sleeve have a profiled opening into which the first pivot stub extends. The first pivot stub includes a cam member which interacts with the profiled opening. Relative rotation of the inner and outer sleeves causes the butterfly valve member to rotate between a closed state and an open state.

  • Patent number: 6679476
Abstract: A compact, in-line valve assembly consists of a hollow valve body, a seat, and a first diaphragm assembly including a deflectable portion forming a first volume between the seat and the first diaphragm assembly. A second diaphragm is attached to the first diaphragm assembly such that a second volume is defined between the second diaphragm and the second opening. A third volume is formed between the first diaphragm assembly and the second diaphragm and is sealed from the first volume and the second volume. A process flows through the first diaphragm assembly between the first volume and the second volume. A low-leak rate, self-aligning head assembly including a stem and a head coupled are coupled to the first diaphragm assembly. A deflection of the deflectable portion and the second diaphragm provides movement to open and close the head from the valve seat.
