  • Patent number: 9132557
Abstract: A load compensation device which can compensate loads on a working arm has a working arm supported by a first pivot-mounting part on a supporting body, an actuator cylinder supported by a second pivot-mounting part above the first pivot mounting part, and a piston rod of the actuator cylinder linked to a third pivot-mounting part of the working arm. A piston rod of a compensation cylinder is linked to a movable frame, and a piston of the compensation cylinder is urged upward by means of a compression coil spring which pushes the movable frame upward. The actuator cylinder and the compensation cylinder are linked by the inside of a conduit, and when the working arm is pivoted, the displacement of the piston of the actuator cylinder urges the piston of the compensation cylinder, a torque which balances the load torque of a load W on the working arm is generated.

  • Patent number: 8602392
Abstract: The various embodiments herein provide a jack assembly for raising and lowering the vehicles. The assembly comprises a base sheet mounted with two lower arms, a retentive sheet mounted with two upper arms and two shafts. The two upper arms are pivotably connected to the lower arms respectively through the two shafts. A wire rope is passed over a groove provided on a plurality of pulleys rotatably mounted on one of the two shafts. A spanner and a jack handle are provided respectively on the two shafts. When the jack handle is pulled up, the two ends of wire ropes move towards each other to make the two shafts to approach towards each other thereby displacing the lower arms and upper arms to lift the retentive sheet for raising the vehicles with a single pull movement of the jack handle.

  • Patent number: 8453993
Abstract: A post removal device (10), including a support (11), and a lever (12) which is rotatable about a fulcrum (13). The lever (12) extends on either side of the fulcrum (13) to define a first portion (14) and a second portion (15), whereby downward movement of the first portion (14) results in upward movement of the second portion (15). The second portion (15) is connected to a gripping arrangement (19) which includes a pair of post grippers (23), which are movable during rotation of the lever (12), from an open condition to a gripping condition. The extent of rotational movement of the lever (12) is sufficient for the grippers (23) to move from the open condition to the gripping condition and for the gripping arrangement (19) to be lifted with the grippers (23) in the gripping condition for lifting a post.

  • Publication number: 20110272650
Abstract: A lifting and moving device for assisting a user in applying a force to an implement to move a load. In the practice of the invention, the user moves the load, at least in part, by leaning or shifting their weight. One embodiment of the device includes a bar having a first end and a second end. A bracket is pivotally attached to the bar. The bracket is capable of being coupled to the implement. The first end of the bar acts as a fulcrum for the implement. A strap is attached to the bar and also coupled to the user. Movement of the user, such as by leaning or shifting of their weight, places the strap under tension and provides a force for moving the load. The bar, the strap, the leg, and a foot plate form a four bar linkage that is combined with the Class 1 lever.

  • Patent number: 6942196
Abstract: In general, an electrically operated car jack is described. A typical embodiment includes a base frame or housing that is adapted to be placed on the ground underneath the automobile to be lifted. The housing includes motors connected to drive arms connected to a load bridge and plate. The bridge is typically mounted within the drive arms by rods located within slots on the arms enabling the bridge to move upward and downward while being retained within the drive arms. Typically, the motors are operated by the car's battery. The drive arms typically include drive wheels that rotate oppositely and are coupled together by a coupler in an X-configuration that assures the coupler moves uniformly. The motors drive the arms, lifting and lowering the load bridge which lifts and lowers the automobile. The jack can be operated by remote control.

Abstract: A scissor lift mechanism (1) having at least two scissor elements (4, 5) connected in pairs by a swivel axis (3). The drive (11) for raising and lowering the scissor elements (4, 5) is provided by a traction member (13). To reduce the driving power required for operation while at the same time reducing control complexity, the scissor lift mechanism (1) is equipped with two coupling bridges (14, 15) situated on opposite sides of the swivel axis (3) and pivotably supported by thrust struts (22, 23) on each of the two scissor elements (4, 5), respectively. The distance “a” between the coupling bridges (14, 15) and the resulting height of lift “h” are easily variable by applying a tractive force “F” via the traction member (13, 25) which is guided around reversing rollers (16) and back and forth along a plurality of generally parallel paths (18, 19, 20, 21) between the two coupling bridges (14, 15).

  • Patent number: 4534544
Abstract: A lift consists of a platform that the article to be lifted rests on and a scissors jack that is attached to the bottom of the platform and that can be spread up out of an extended position with rollers. One pair of the parallel scissoring legs of the jack is firmly articulated with the platform and the other pair of scissoring legs is attached to a shaft that travels parallel to the bottom of the platform inside a guide mounted on it. Rollers are mounted on a rigid axle and the axle is engaged by two chains that wrap around chain wheels rigidly attached to the shaft and which are connected to a transverse beam. The front end of the transverse beam is connected to a tensioning device that operates parallel to the platform. Two independently rotating rollers are mounted on the axle on each side of the jack, each roller rests against an auxiliary rail and a guide rail on each inside scissoring leg and the auxiliary rails are inside the jack.

  • Patent number: 3993286
Abstract: A low profile air jack for lifting vehicles is described, in which the force exerted by a horizontally disposed air cylinder and piston assembly on the lever arm of a lifting member pivoted to the jack frame causes the lifting member to rotate, so that its front end engages and lifts the vehicle. The piston shaft of the air cylinder is connected to the lever arm of the lifting member by a flexible chain and sprocket assembly which acts as a force-multiplying mechanism so that the force acting on the lever arm of the lifting member is approximately double the force which would be exerted if the piston shaft were directly connected to the lever arm by a rigid member. The two flexible chains are connected to a stabilizing bar, which is pivotably attached to the jack frame for both vertical and horizontal movement thereto, rather than directly to the frame, so that equal forces are applied to both chains during the lifting operation.
