  • Patent number: 9178340
Abstract: A line stringing apparatus includes in combination an electric motor, motor controller and a processor switchable between a pulling mode and a tensioning mode. An electric motor expends electrical energy when pulling the line and generates electrical energy when tensioning the line. The processor outputting commands to the motor controller for control thereof and for application of electrical energy from the batteries to the electric motor when in the pulling mode and for application of electrical energy generated by the electric motor to the plurality of batteries when in tensioning mode. The processor limits electric motor torque and speed based on operator commands for speed and torque in said pulling mode; and, the processor controlling electric motor torque in the tensioning mode.

  • Patent number: 9010732
Abstract: A drive device for a belt axis of a winch, to address the problems existing in the conventional drive device for the belt axis of the winch including a short service life and a high cost. The drive device is disposed at the end of the belt axis of the winch. The drive device comprises a stationary seat and a rotary cylinder. The rotary cylinder is provided with a socket for inserting a crowbar. The stationary seat is fixedly connected with the belt axis. The rotary cylinder is axially fixed to the stationary seat. A unidirectional mechanism is provided between the rotary cylinder and the belt axis and operates by means of the engagement of teeth of the ratchet wheel. The belt axis is brought into continuous one-way rotation by using the unidirectional mechanism while the rotary cylinder is turned back and forth.

  • Patent number: 8858374
Abstract: A mechanism for pretensioning a cable, or like tension element, of a tension-element drive selectively engages the motor drives of the cable for pretensioning. The mechanism uses a sleeve on which a portion of the cable is wound, with another portion of the cable wound in an opposed direction on a drive shaft on the motor. A clutch connects the sleeve to the motor output shaft. An initiator mechanism selectively stops rotation of the sleeve and the cable portion wound on the sleeve while allowing the motor torque to act on the other end of the cable wound on the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 8702065
Abstract: The present invention discloses a quick tightener, which addresses the problems existing in the conventional tighteners such as inconvenient operation or failure in use under extreme conditions. The quick tightener includes a support, a handle, a ratchet wheel and a half-moon shaft. The half-moon shaft is composed of a first half-moon shaft and a second half moon shaft. Said first half-moon shaft could be fixedly connected with the ratchet wheel. Said second half-moon shaft could be fixedly connected with the ratchet wheel in the circumferential direction and axially move relative to the ratchet wheel. A clutch device is located between said first half-moon shaft and second half-moon shaft to connect the second half-moon shaft to the first half-moon shaft or disengage the second half-moon shaft from the first half-moon shaft. Such a quick tightener is equipped with the advantages such as preferential reliability and a high practical value.

  • Patent number: 8505878
Abstract: Equipment and associated methods for replacing existing overhead transmission line conductors with new ones while the transmission line remains in service and carrying power. The old conductor is used to pull the new conductor through a series of sheaves installed at the bottom of the insulator at each tower. Conventional tension-stringing equipment is used but it is elevated to line potential that is achieved by use of an insulating platform or insulating jacks. Current transfer between stationary and moving conductors is achieved by a current transfer device that may consist of transmission line contacting wheels and liquid metal contactors. Sag control in various conductor spans is enhanced by a stringing block with controllable friction. Equipment is also introduced which will prevent release of the conductor by the pulling device should it break while engaged by that device.

  • Patent number: 8231109
Abstract: A reel structure for a marine fabric tape includes a reel device pivoted to an engaging seat. When a handle of a windlass is turned, a flat rod will be driven to rotate a gear shaft which then drives a gear disc to rotate. Because a head portion is positioned in an axle shaft, a fabric tape is rolled up along with the axle shaft to form a circular shape, providing an even applied force for rolling up the fabric tape.

  • Patent number: 7950629
Abstract: A tensioning ratchet for tautening and holding tensioning means, such as webbings, extruded straps, ropes, chains and the like, includes a console, with a winding-on shaft, rotatably mounted in the console, which is formed by at least two direction reversal bars, delimiting a distance between one another, and with a tensioning lever for turning the winding-on shaft about an axis of rotation. The tensioning ratchet according to the invention withstands a higher load and enables high pre-tensioning forces to be applied while preventing inadmissible stress on the user. This is achieved by the fact that the position at least of the outer circumferential face of the direction reversal bars coming into contact with the tensioning means, is variable.

  • Patent number: 7100901
Abstract: The invention relates to a tension ratchet with a belt magazine, for rapidly fixing a good to be transported to a vehicle, an object to a support, or several objects to each other. The tension ratchet (30) is combined with a belt magazine (1) which receives the entire idle belt supply during use and during storage and ensures rapid tying down/releasing of e.g. a transport load, due to constant availability for use; as well as tidy storage. The belt magazine (1) is arranged in such a way that it lies flat on the lower arm of the tension ratchet (30) in order to reduce the construction height, with a vertical belt winding up shaft (15) for receiving a belt to be wound up in horizontal rotation. The belt runs into the tension ratchet out of the belt magazine on its back side in the winding position, rotates about 90° in said tension ratchet and is then led out through the load tensioning roller (8).
