Includng Rack And Pinion, Or Pinion Segment, Drive Patents (Class 254/230)
  • Patent number: 10011246
Abstract: A belt tensioner for a seat belt system comprises a pinion (10) pivoted about an axis of rotation A which is adapted to be coupled to a best reel of a belt retractor, a drive unit, a force transmission element (12) and a guide means. By activating the drive unit the force transmission element (12) is moved along the guide means so that it engages in the pinion (10). The guide means includes a portion (16) which is deformable in a direction x perpendicular to the axis of rotation A of the pinion (10) and to the direction of movement y of the force transmission element (12).

  • Patent number: 9247820
Abstract: A method and apparatus for applying tension to a fabric decking on an article of furniture are described. The apparatus includes a cylindrical base having a central axis and that is adapted to be placed in proximity to a frame of the article of furniture. A plurality of spaced needles are coupled to, and extend away from, said base. The needles are aligned in a row parallel to the axis of the cylindrical base. The needles extend away from the base a distance greater than a thickness of the fabric decking material. The apparatus also includes a rotation mechanism coupled to the base and operable to impart a rotational movement to the base about the axis, between a first, ready position for engagement with the fabric decking material, and a second stretched position.

  • Patent number: 6932324
Abstract: A buckle tensioner for pre-tensioning a safety belt band comprises a traction transmission device engaging on a belt buckle, a motor and a pressure storing device which is able to be compressed by means of the motor. The traction transmission device is coupled in a force-fitting manner to the pressure storing device and the pressure storing device is arranged such that an expansion of the pressure storing device brings about a pulling away of the belt buckle for tensioning the safety belt band.

  • Patent number: 4702117
Abstract: A vehicle use-lock actuator is proposed comprising a stationary housing and a reversible drive motor for locking and unlocking successively two remotely positioned locks. In this actuator, the drive motor is mounted within the housing in a hidden position. There is a single control slide for keeping normally respective wire cables at their neutral position for keeping in turn the locks in their locked position. There is provided within the housing a three stage reduction and reversely accelerating gearing between the drive motor and the control slide. The first stage includes a crown gear, while the third stage includes rack teeth which is united rigidly with the control slide.
