Including Ground Engaging Means For Supporting Implement Or Apparatus In Plural, Vertically Spaced Positions Patents (Class 254/263)
  • Patent number: 10233667
Abstract: A temporary barrier post having a main pole, adjustable post, and bracing shaft. A joint assembly is supported on and can slide axially along the main pole. An end of the adjustable post is connected to the joint assembly such that the adjustable post can rotate relative to the joint assembly. A coupler is fixed to the adjustable post axially between the proximate and remote ends such that the bracing shaft is pivotally connected to the adjustable post. The temporary barrier post is adjustable between an expanded condition, in which the adjustable post extends laterally relative to the main pole, the bracing shaft is oblique relative to the adjustable post, and the adjustable post and the bracing shaft retain the main pole in a set location via the joint assembly, and a collapsed condition, in which the main pole, the adjustable post, and the bracing shaft are parallel.

  • Patent number: 7648123
Abstract: The collapsible pump jack includes a pole formed from a plurality of pipe segments having swaged ends that telescope into one another. An M-shaped base supports the pole in an upright position. A ratcheting chain hoist has a hook for attaching the hoist atop the pole. The chain has another hook for attachment to the vehicle being lifted out of a rut in the snow or other terrain. The base is foldable from an M-shape pole mounting position to a rectangular tube storage position to surround the pole segments for storage and transport. The collapsible pump jack provides a lightweight, compact, portable accessory for lifting an end of a snowmobile, ATV, or other off-road vehicle to extricate the vehicle when it is stuck in snow or rugged terrain.

  • Patent number: 7611129
Abstract: A device for rotating, setting and locking driven pivotal ground anchors and for applying a predetermined tension to test load the locked anchor, comprises a horizontal base plate having an opening through which an anchor rod or cable can project, an upright post extending from the base terminating in a moveable arm carried by the post, which can be attached to the anchor cable through an intermediary cable, chain, or other fastener. The arm is rotatable through a socket drive rotatably carried at the top of the post, which can be actuated by a hand or power torsion wrench to cause rotation of the arm, to draw the anchor up, to rotate it in the ground to its set position and to apply a predetermined tension determined by the setting of the torque wrench to thereby proof test the holding power of the anchor. Various means can be provided to secure the anchor under tension.

  • Patent number: 6302380
Abstract: A portable extraction tool facilitates soil stabilization applications that utilize compaction grouting. Compaction grouting involves installing grout injection casing into the ground in fixed-length sections to depths limited by soil compaction or bedrock. The casing is then removed in stages. Between stages, grout is pumped through the casing and into the soil at high pressure. The extraction tool provides the power, gripping strength, stability and operator control required to pull casings from the ground at a desired rate. Pulling power is provided by a pair of hydraulic cylinders. Gripping strength is provided by a progressive chuck mechanism that secures injection casings on upward movements of the cylinders and releases casings on downward movements, without damaging the reusable casings. Stability and strength are provided by a heavy, large-footprint base plate.
