The elevating unit is hung down from the supporting unit via the rope or the chain to be moved vertically. This reactor internal equipment hoisting apparatus is easy in maintenance and storage.

Although both drums are connected to the plurality of ropes, they are operable independently of each other to raise and lower the lifting beam in the event of inoperability of either drum.
