Cable Actuated Patents (Class 254/426)
  • Patent number: 10611298
Abstract: A cargo carrier includes a housing defining an interior surface and an exterior surface. A light assembly is positioned along the exterior surface. A grate is positioned within the housing. A luminescent structure is positioned on the grate. A light source is positioned on the interior surface and configured to emit light onto the luminescent structure.

  • Patent number: 9630597
Abstract: A landing gear deploying system includes a trailer that has a pair of landing gear. The trailer includes a shaft extending between each of the landing gear. The landing gear is positionable in a deployed position to support the trailer over a support surface. The landing gear is positionable in a stored position. Thus, trailer may be coupled to a vehicle. A drive is coupled to an associated one of the landing gear and the drive is in mechanical communication with the shaft. The drive selectively rotates the shaft in a first direction such that each of the landing gear is urged into the deployed position. The drive selectively rotates the shaft in a second direction such that each of the landing gear is urged into the stored position.

  • Patent number: 9380744
Abstract: A header lift assembly for an agricultural harvester includes a lift cylinder and a lock assembly. The lift cylinder includes a sleeve and a piston, and the piston is configured to move in an axial direction relative to the sleeve. The lock assembly is coupled to the lift cylinder and is configured to automatically transition to a first locking position upon extension of the piston in the axial direction to a locking distance from the sleeve. The first locking position is configured to block retraction of the piston in the axial direction beyond a first distance from the sleeve. The lock assembly is also configured to automatically disengage from the first locking position to a unlocked position that facilitates retraction of the piston beyond the first distance upon extension of the piston to an unlocking distance.

  • Patent number: 6390451
Abstract: A device and method is claimed for elevating a vehicle. The jack device has a frame with a first section and a second section that are joined together at a hinged connection. The first section and second section of the frame are supported by wheels. A spool is coupled to at least one of the wheels. A flexible element extends from the spool to an opposite point on the frame that is across the hinged connection. The flexible element winds around the spool and pulls the first section and the second section together while being wound. A support platform is carried by the frame and is elevated as the first section of the frame and the second section of the frame move toward each other.

  • Patent number: 5884720
Abstract: A parking device attachable to one end of a vehicle understructure for use in parking the vehicle, includes a carriage and coupling mechanism which permits the carriage to move either to a retracted position or to a deployed vertically-spaced position, and a parking wheel having a pivotal mechanism which permits the parking wheel to be pivoted either to a folded, substantially horizontal position or to a deployed, substantially vertical position. A drive is coupled to the carriage and to the parking wheel and is effective, when the carriage is in its retracted position and the parking wheel is in its folded position, first to move the parking wheel to its deployed position and then to move the carriage to its deployed position lowering the parking wheel into engagement with the ground and raising the respective end of the vehicle off the ground.

  • Patent number: 5806837
Abstract: A snow jack for use with snowmobiles or other off-road vehicles includes a telescoping upright structure with a ratchet and pawl lifting mechanism removably connectible at its top. A strap with a hook extends from the lifting mechanism to engage the snowmobile. The lower telescoping member has a reinforcing fiberglass core. The telescoping members may be secured relative to each other to facilitate height adjustment. Brackets are also provided to attach the upright structure to the running board of the snowmobile.
