A channel member includes a web wall defining a plurality of spaced apart openings that each receives a respective one of the plurality of pickets therethrough. A plurality of picket pivot members are in snap-fit engagement with the channel member, and each one of the plurality of picket pivot members includes a pair of opposed end walls and a pair of opposed side walls together forming a box-like shape. A pivot pin extends from at least one of the pair of opposed side walls and is received by the pivot pin hole of a respective one of the plurality of pickets to define a pivot axis with respect to the channel member.

Abstract: A crash cushion includes overlapping first and second rail sections coupled with a fastener. The first rail section is moveable relative to the second rail section from a pre-impact position to an impact position in response to an axial impact to the guardrail assembly. The first rail section includes an elongated slot aligned with the fastener and having a first length. A support post is releasably connected to the first rail section and is rotatable to a laid over position after the first rail section has moved a first travel distance, wherein the first length is greater than or equal to the first travel distance.

Abstract: A moving energy absorbing component includes an impact head including a base and upright projection. The base includes an axial orifice extending from a downstream entry point to an upstream exit point, through which an upstream terminus of an FTE rail is passed before the FTE rail is directly or indirectly connected to a releasable connection point coupled to a ground anchor. The impact head is connected via at least one beam to a post detacher element located downstream of the impact head a pre-determined distance therefrom.

Abstract: A decorative panel kit for privacy fences has a plurality of panels. Each panel has a portion of an image imprinted on an exterior surface. Upon assembly to a privacy fence section, the assembled plurality of panels has adjacent panels each with the portion of the image aligned to depict a complete image. Each panel is sized with a length (L) extending from a first end to a second end and portions of the length adjacent the ends are configured to fit into a space formed in a privacy fence section between extending members and fence boards. The extending members include a first member and a second member. The first and second members hold a plurality of fence boards to form the privacy fence sections. The end portions of the length of each panel are held in the space between the first and second members and the fence boards.

Abstract: A chain link fence with retained slats including a chain link fence with two or more slats inserted into the fence, each slat haVing two opposing apertures bounding an internal channel and at least one band disposed through the internal channels so as to retain the slats within the chain link fence. Apertures may form cutouts in the slats. The band is flexible and inserted into the chain link fence before installation. The entire system is configured to be rolled and unrolled. A method of making the chain link fence with retained slats is also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is a portable jobsite spray booth for painting, drying, finishing, routing, sanding, sawing, and processing an object and protecting the processed object. The portable jobsite spray booth includes a plurality of bases, a plurality of first connectors, a plurality of second connectors, a plurality of vertical poles, and a plurality of horizontal poles. A disposable plastic liner is used for covering five sides of the portable jobsite spray booth with one side open. The disposable 5-sided clear plastic liner provides overspray and particulate protection to and from the ceiling, floor, and three sides. The portable jobsite spray booth is provided with a ventilation attachment that accommodates air filter, ducting and blower system.

A plurality of first trim units is each coupled to a respective one of the panels. A plurality of second trim units is each coupled to a respective one of the panels. Each of the second trim units engages the first trim unit on an adjacent one of the panels when the panels are positioned beneath the fence to enhance the visual appeal of the fence posts.

Abstract: Provided is a fence which can prevent a person from clambering over the fence while ensuring sufficient ventilation. The fence includes: a plurality of posts; a pair of plate members extending in a horizontal direction and spaced away from each other in a vertical direction; and a blocking member arranged in the space between the plate members for keeping a foot of a person from entering the space between the plate members to prevent the person from clambering over the fence, wherein a lower end of the blocking member is spaced upward from the plate member at a lower position, and defines a lower gap against an upper surface of the plate member at the lower position, the lower gap having such a dimension as to keep a tip of the foot of the person from entering the lower gap.

Abstract: A pile is comprised of a pipe, i.e., a tube or hollow cylinder of annular cross-section, with a coextensive internal reinforcement comprised of a plurality of intersecting walls forming a plurality of vertices. Each vertex intersects the pipe. Adjacent intersections are evenly spaced around the annular cross-section. The pile is comprised of a blend of PVC and 20 to 50% (pbw) chopped strand glass fibers. A groove is cut into the pile adjacent to an end for frictional retention in a sea bed.

Abstract: A handrail mountable wireless components installation apparatus and related method of installation are disclosed. The apparatus/method includes a shell having two parts, a wireless components housing and a lid; and a chassis for the fixedly but detachable mounting within the shell of the wireless electronic components necessary to provide a WiFi signal, as for example a router and an antenna, the chassis equipped with two sets of brackets. One set of brackets provides the anchoring means for the fastening of the lid onto the housing. The second set of brackets allows the enclosure to be mounted on the handrail. Optionally, the chassis is provided with a mounting plate for the mounting of a router and an opening capable of accommodating an antenna without impeding the flow of the antenna signal. Abstract: A barrier system is used to direct and block a travel path of pedestrians and vehicles. The barriers may be shaped substantially as a truncated pyramid with a base surface and planar sides extending from the edges of the base surface to a top portion, where the cross-sectional area of the base surface is larger than the cross-sectional area of the top portion. The angles of inclination between the planar sides and the interior of the base surface are acute angles. The bollard can be cast from heavy dense materials. The bollard includes at least two overhanging lips on the planar sides of the barrier between the base surface and the top portion. The configurations of the bollards provide improved placement, such as with cranes, hand carts, and other devices. Molds to cast the barriers and hand carts to move the barriers are also disclosed.

The slot, being vertical and/or horizontal, may be adapted to secure a playground hoop or crossbar within the frustoconical portion of the playground cone.

Abstract: A fascia mounted railing system that uses brackets that secure the posts to the slab while also providing base support for the infill panels without the use of a base rail. It does this by using a bracket to secure the posts and a second bracket that fits within the bottom of the post. This bracket has end flanges that extend outwardly from the post to support an infill panel. The infill panels can have a base treatment to conceal the face of the slab, if desired, for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. In addition, the system has the capacity for a top railing that can be attached to the back of the posts as a grab rail, or attached to the top of the posts (with a bracket) for a top rail.

Abstract: Frameless modular wall systems, frameless modular free-standing wall structures, and related methods are disclosed. The systems and structures include a plurality of panels including a wall portion and connector portions extending from opposing lateral sides of the wall portion, the connector portions each including a wide portion and a narrow portion extending between the wide portions and the panel portion. The systems and structures also include a plurality of connecting posts including connector slots configured to removably accept a connector portion of a panel therein, the connector slots each including a wide portion and a narrow portion corresponding to the wide portion and a narrow portion of the connector portions of the panels. When the plurality of panels and the plurality of connecting posts are removably coupled via the connector portions and the connector slots, the panels and connecting posts form a free-standing wall structure.

Abstract: A construction method for a building is provided that includes the steps of: hoisting and positioning a plurality of precast columns on at least a portion of a predetermined area of a construction site to form a precast column array having at least two spans along a first direction and one or more spans along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction; positioning the pre-fabricated beam rebar assemblies between adjacent precast columns, positioning each of the precast slab panels on support potions on the precast columns, assembling the beam cage and pouring the concrete into the molds for the beam cage to accomplish the structure of a single story; and repeating the steps of constructing the above-mentioned precast column array until completion of the structure of all stories of the building.

At least two attachment legs extend inwardly towards each other from the sidewalls. Vertical picket posts extend between through holes in the upper and lower horizontal rails. The picket post includes multiple grooves. The grooves receive the posts without penetration into any internal cavities of the upper and lower rail, and the posts are forced inwardly into the grooves by elastic memory in the sidewalls, the posts within grooves not being in locked engagement with the grooves, but held in place by the force of the elastic memory, the posts withdrawable from the grooves by overcoming the elastic force.

Abstract: The invention relates to a bamboo fence making method. The method comprises the following steps that (a) a bamboo material is made by adopting raw bamboos; (b) mold and insect prevention liquid is sprayed; (c) a bamboo fence is made; (d) heat treatment is performed; (e) water spraying is performed for cooling; (f) drying is performed. The made bamboo fence does not produce the adverse influence on the environment, also has an insect prevention effect, and the effect duration is at least 2 years.

Abstract: A border wall or fence is constructed from a plurality of existing ISO steel shipping containers which are connected together both horizontally and vertically at their corners using conventional corner locks so as to present a continuous physical barrier of any selected length. The containers are stacked three or four high with the bottommost containers recessed into the ground and filled at least partially with dirt or sand. The uppermost containers are open at their ends to allow personnel to walk or drive through the length of the wall. Windows are also formed in the upper containers to allow personnel to view the area around the wall. Gated openings can be formed periodically to allow for passage through the wall.

Abstract: The invention addressed in this application is non-injurious restraint type form of fencing designed to be used a perimeter or security fence. The fence is constructed of hollow polymer tubes arranged in horizontal rows affixed to a vertical post. The hollow tubular horizontal fence rails contain fibers that are coated with a moisture cured adhesives and the fibers are secured at one end to the end cap of the tubes. The tubes are sealed and slightly pressurized with a dry inert gas, so that upon breakage of the tubes by a person attempting to scale the fence, the fibers are expelled out of the tubes and entangle the would be climber. The tubes are constructed of a brittle material, like polystyrene, or material which will become brittle upon treatment with ultra violet (UV) radiation or heat.

Abstract: A pipe rack and a method for making a pipe rack where the pipe rack may include at least one foundation, two legs, and a horizontal support. The two legs are supported by the at least one foundation. Each of the two legs includes at least one aperture. The horizontal support has two ends. The first end is located in an aperture in a first leg of the two legs and a second end of the horizontal support is located in an aperture in a second leg of the two legs. A rod forms a joint between the foundation and one of the two legs. The rod is located in the aperture in the upper surface of the foundation and in an aperture in a lower surface in the one of the two legs.

Abstract: A railing support post with threaded holes or receivers for receiving threaded hardware, such as might be used for tensioned cable railing. A decorative sleeve or post cover may be used to at least partially enclose the railing support post. The railing support post may be manufactured, for example, by providing an elongated member of a prescribed length, drilling a plurality of holes spaced along the length of the elongated member, and tapping the plurality of holes to form a plurality of threaded receivers. The threaded receivers are configured to receive rail fittings or other fittings.

Abstract: A post anchor is provided for securing a post within a poured concrete slab. The post anchor comprises a socket having a first cavity sized to receive the post therein. A jacket member is adapted to mount over at least a portion of the socket. At least one tensile member is mounted to, and extending from, the jacket member. The jacket and tensile members function to reinforce the socket and to distribute any forces exerted upon the post anchor further into the surrounding concrete. The socket may be provided in a variety of heights, to allow the post anchor to be easily adapted to a variety of slab depths.

Abstract: The disclosed system divides the precast and cast-in-place construction into vertical and horizontal components. The vertical components are precast, permitting rapid vertical building construction without a delay for concrete to set. The three primary precast components are a column, a horizontal slab, and a central panel placed diagonally between the slabs. By separating the columns from the horizontal slabs, the molds required to precast are simplified and transportation of the precast elements is streamlined. The resulting precast components are also of a weight and size that is readily manageable using a standard construction crane. The horizontal components are a combination of cast-in-place, and precast components. The result creates a continuous unitary floor structure that carries larger loads with less thickness that purely simple span pre-cast construction.

Abstract: A building structure includes elements that are integrally connected by a poured bonding structure. The elements include a beam having a cavity that is configured to receive a pourable bonding material and flooring sections that are supported by the beams. The flooring sections include voids that open to a cavity. Inserts are positioned in the voids to control the limit the depth that the pourable bonding material can flow into the voids and to increase the strength of the poured bonding structure.

Abstract: A guardrail for a walkway of a machine includes a vertical channel post having an end wall and side walls forming an open channel. The vertical channel post may taper in the side-to-side and fore-aft directions as the post extends bottom to top. The vertical channel post may also transition from a generally rectangular cross-section near the bottom to a more rounded cross-section at the top. Curved top notches at the top of the vertical channel post allow a top rail of the guardrail to rest on top of the post and be attached. Intermediate notches along vertical edges of the side walls receive an intermediate rail of the guardrail. The top notches and the intermediate notches are arranged so that the top rail and the intermediate rail may be vertically aligned and parallel to each other and to the walkway enclosed by the guardrail.

The panel rails may insertably receive a respective linear arrangement of the sub-panel rails. Each flood wall includes a post defining a pair of vertical troughs and a plurality of stop logs stacked horizontally and extending from a trough of a post to a trough of another post or to a channel in an end wall. Each post is removably secured to an anchor plate inset in the floor. A brace may extend outwardly and downwardly from the post to provide support against lateral forces caused by flood water. An anchor link may interconnect adjacent posts of the first flood wall and the second flood wall.

Abstract: A versatile handrail and toeboard safety system that provides flexible solutions for the implementation of improved construction site safety barriers using specialized brackets to mount standard wooden members. The brackets of the handrail and toeboard safety system is formed of multiple orthogonally arranged plates creating spaces to receive and secure wooden construction members as a handrail for personnel safety in addition to a toeboard for equipment and materiel safety. The parallel plates are formed with several mounting points for wooden members and several mounting points for anchoring the bracket to a base floor. The brackets are formed to withstand a minimum two-hundred (200) pound force exerted at the top of a forty-five (45) inch tall handrail attached to the anchored bracket. Abstract: A concrete building structure and method for constructing a building structure which includes a first cross-brace section, including a plurality of pre-cast concrete blocks connected in series by at least one rebar; a second cross-brace section, including a plurality of pre-cast concrete blocks connected in series by at least one rebar, extending generally perpendicularly to the first cross-brace section such that the first and second cross-brace sections form a grid understructure; a plurality of channels encapsulating adjacent blocks from the first and second cross-brace sections, whereby the grid understructure includes channels into which concrete may be poured at a building site; each of the plurality of blocks positioned within respective channels; a plurality of pre-cast concrete slabs resting atop the blocks in the grid understructure; and poured concrete filling each of the channels and a space between adjacent concrete slabs to complete a generally flat floor of the building structure.

Abstract: A rain-screen siding system for buildings, including clips to support siding boards parallel with a flat surface of a building wall structure but spaced apart from the building wall to allow air to circulate between the building wall structure and the siding boards. The clips include paired, opposed channels and the siding boards have tongues that fit into the channels. Drainage grooves are defined in the clips. Bottom support members may extend horizontally to support the siding boards at the bottom of the rain screen siding. Corner closing members are provided to protect end faces of siding boards at an exterior corner of a building wall.
