Abstract: A privacy and sound barrier fence system and apparatus is disclosed. The fence is erected with interlocking horizontal or vertical panels which are held in place by posts at the ends of the boards. The boards are equipped with a tongue and groove system, configured to enable the boards to interlock, forming a solid wall segment. Each segment, referred to as a module, may be connected at a 90-degree angle, to permit a turn in the fence. Adjustable mounting points on the posts allow for the modules to be disposed in a step orientation or at a slope for non-level terrain. The boards ensure that the erected fence remains aesthetically pleasing from both the front and rear of the fence. A Santa Fe embodiment of the fence system does not employ any structural rain reinforcement connecting the posts and is capable of withstanding hurricane-strength winds.

Abstract: The fence system attaches to an aluminum or steel rectangular base post in concrete or the ground. The inside wall of a fence column slides over the base post. The fence column also has an outside wall around the inside wall. Each of three side of the fence column has an elongated slot, which receives one end of a slat. A bracket may secure the slat to the fence column. The fence system also has a gate of the same style as the rest of the fence. A lockset housing replaces one fence column. It receives slats on one side, and the lockset's latch projects from the other side. A hollow post has a slot facing the latch when the gate is closed. A latch cover is held by the slot, and an extension of the latch cover extends along the lockset housing to block surreptitious opening the gate.

Abstract: Safety architecture for an automated work cell provides a barrier separating a work cell area from an operator or personnel area. The safety architecture enables personnel to conduct routine interactions with nonfunctioning motion platforms or positioning machines located in the work cell area through openings in the barrier separating the personnel area from the work cell area while other motion platforms or positioning machines in the work cell area continues to function.

Abstract: A method of arresting a forward motion of a moving vehicle travelling on a surface includes moving a barrier beam to a position blocking a vehicle passage over a base plate that is positioned on the surface, contacting the moving vehicle with the barrier beam, and rotating the base plate due to the contacting the vehicle causing the base plate to contact an underside of the vehicle during the forward motion of the vehicle, lifting at least front wheels of the vehicle.

Abstract: A gate apparatus having an automatically returning gate, an upper latch operated by an upper button, and a lower latch operated by an upper finger handle. Each of the latches must be opened to open the gate. The gate returns without the aid of a spring to a position close to the closed position or to the closed position by the structure of a pivot or hinge connection between the gate and the frame of the gate. Gate tubes are rectangular in section for their entire length. Wood panels are included in the gate and excluded from other portions of the gate apparatus to make the gate stand out to the user seeking to open the gate.

Abstract: A two unit barrier or three unit barrier. The two unit barrier includes a first end frame portion and a second end frame portion as a first unit and a gate as a second unit. The three unit barrier includes a first end frame as a first unit, a second end frame as a second unit, and a gate as a third unit. In each of the barriers, the gate is swingably engaged and swingable over a lower connection arrangement. The lower connection arrangement may include one or more of a mortise and tenon connection, clamp connection, swinging connection, flush and hidden connection, and telescoping connection.

Abstract: The present lift lock is employed on a gate that is swingable and liftable on a first axis. In a first position the lift lock is on the first axis and in a blocking position that prevents the gate from being lifted relative to a barrier having the gate. The lift lock is slideable away from the first position on the axis to a second position away from the axis where the lift lock is in an unblocking position, thereby permitting the gate to be lifted on the axis. The lift lock snaps into and out of the second position.

Abstract: A gate made from light weight tubular material with creates a framework upon which slats are attached. Slats are capable of being attached on the front of the gate or being passed through slots in the tubular material. The framework is capable of being reinforced with the use of additional tubular material or braces in the corners, as well as additional horizontal, vertical, or diagonal supports.

Abstract: A barrier that includes four structurally different corner connections for fixing a gate frame of the barrier to and between opposing vertical surfaces. A first connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a pivot hook and socket, a second connection includes a headed straight pin engaging a socket, a third connection includes headless bent pin engaging a socket and a limiter, and a fourth connection includes a headless bent pin engaging a socket.

Abstract: An apparatus for bracing a fence gate during installation of the fence gate. The apparatus includes at least one support member and a brace bar. The at least one support member is mounted to the fence gate. The brace bar has a first end, a second end and a brace portion extending therebetween. A first portion of the brace bar is connectable to the fence gate and a second portion of the brace bar is adjustably connectable to the at least one support member.

Abstract: A fence gate assembly comprises an upright having a longitudinal opening and a lateral opening. The assembly also includes an insert received within the longitudinal opening and coupled to the upright. The insert also includes a support portion extending from a rear wall. The assembly further includes a rail at least partially received within a cavity of the insert, the rail including a channel configured to at least partly receive the support portion therein.

Abstract: An apparatus for bracing a fence gate during installation of the fence gate. The apparatus includes at least one support member and a brace bar. The at least one support member is mounted to the fence gate. The brace bar has a first end, a second end and a brace portion extending therebetween. A first portion of the brace bar is connectable to the fence gate and a second portion of the brace bar is adjustably connectable to the at least one support member.

Abstract: There is provided a guide assembly for guiding a cylindrical casing used in forming a sheathing wall in a ground. The guide assembly includes: a first guide-body having first inner and outer vertical faces and first top and bottom horizontal faces extending in a length-direction thereof; a second guide-body having second inner and outer vertical faces and top and bottom horizontal faces extending in a length-direction thereof, wherein the second inner face faces away the first inner face; at least one first coupling unit configured to couple the first and second guide-bodies to each other at the first and second top faces thereof; and at least one second coupling unit configured to couple the first and second guide-bodies to each other at lower positions of the first and second inner faces thereof.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for sensor bypass. Activation may be received at a bypass input of an entry point sensor of a security system while the entry point sensor is in an armed mode. The entry point sensor may detect that the entry point monitored by the entry point sensor is closed. The entry point sensor may enter into a bypass mode. Detection by the entry point sensor of an opening of the entry point while the entry point sensor is in the bypass mode may not result in the generation of an alarm by the security system.

Abstract: A fence includes a plurality of posts, and fence panels having rails which extend across the plurality of posts, and are secured thereto. Jambs may be formed onto the fence system, and one or more gates may be hung to the jambs.

Abstract: Systems and methods of fencing systems are provided that incorporate tri-truss assemblies and/or self-closing gates. A tri-truss assembly may provide stability and support to a gate that is part of a portable or temporary fencing system. A tri-truss assembly may be configured to support a self-closing gate that is part of a pool fence. A tri-truss assembly may include three vertical support members. Two of the three vertical support members may include pins configured to be placed within pre-drilled holes in a surface in order to maintain the tri-truss assembly upright. A third vertical support may be a different length (shorter or longer) than the first two vertical support members and include an adjustable foot, such as a threaded bolt, configured to contact the surface and provide additional stability and/or support.

Abstract: A gate latch device to secure a gate in a closed or latched position to a fence or other barrier to close or block a portal formed therein comprising a latch assembly including a lower latch pin and a keeper safety catch mounted to the fence or other barrier adjacent the portal and a keeper assembly including a magnet disposed adjacent a latch pin recess mounted to the gate such that when the gate is closed the magnet attracts the lower latch pin from a normally biased upper or unlatched position to a lower or latched position drawing the lower latch pin downward into the latch pin recess against the force of the bias to prevent the gate from opening and wherein the keeper safety catch selectively engages the keeper assembly to limit the outward movement of the keeper assembly relative to the latch assembly to retain the lower latch pin from becoming dislodged from the latch pin recess to maintain the gate in the latched position.

The first securing piece may be used to secure the first guide assembly to the first rail of the gate. The gate assembly may also include a drop rod that may be inserted into the rod aperture to sideably couple the drop rod with the first guide assembly thereby substantially aligning the drop rod vertically, relative to ground. When the drop rod is put in a disengaged position, the drop rod removably couples to the second rail to allow motion of the gate.

In one embodiment, the gate includes first and second vertical support posts, a lower horizontal support, a cross-brace, first and second upper vertical posts, a screen, first and second elbow joints, and first and second Tee joints. The elbow joints are configured to couple the vertical support posts to the lower horizontal support. The Tee joints are configured to couple the vertical support posts, the upper vertical posts, and the cross-brace together. The screen is configured to be coupled to the vertical support posts, the upper vertical posts, and the lower horizontal support post. The cross-brace is configured to extend between the first and second vertical support posts at a distance below the upper end of the screen and rearwardly away from the screen.

Abstract: A gate-hinge bracket for fastening to a gate post has a J-bolt and a mounting plate. The J-bolt has an elongated threaded shank and a generally perpendicular pintle. The mounting plate has an internally-threaded socket for coupling with the threaded shank portion of the J-bolt. It further has a plurality of fastener openings for fastening it to the gate post by fasteners. Thus, the J-bolt can be twisted relative to the stationary mounting plate until the pintle portion is aligned on a chosen axis. Optionally there is a lock nut on the threaded shank between the pintle and the mounting plate in order to lock the pintle in a fixed position. Optionally the gate post is tree trunk or slice thereof bored with an enlarged clearance bore for the shank of the J-bolt, as well as with pilot holes for fasteners like lag screws.

At least one union strip is coupled to the at least one support member, the at least one union strip including at least one channel configured for receiving the edge of the at least one infill material. The first elongate portion is movably positioned in the first throughholes, and the second elongate portion is movably positioned in the second throughholes.

When pulled down, a return mechanism is compressed and a gate holding portion engages a self-closing gate for a period of time sufficient to allow a user to move through the gate, and which automatically returns to its open position allowing the gate to close without further interaction by the user.

Abstract: An adjustable gate comprises two u-shaped vertical bars having first anti-warping gutters, tension hooks; two horizontal bars having second anti-warping gutters; a chain-link mesh; two tension rods; and a truss having paddle-nuts. The first anti-warping gutters are inserted into the second anti-warping gutters to join the bars together and to prevent the gate from warping in all horizontal directions. The tension hooks are welded along the body of the vertical bars to eliminate tie wires to prevent personal injury. The tension rods are inserted along the vertical edges of the chain-link mesh and hooked on the tension hooks. The truss hooks on the vertical bars and is adjusted to a desired tension to hold the adjustable gate together. The truss paddle-nuts disposed at the two opposite ends of the truss turnbuckle interlock with the truss turnbuckle in a desired position and allow the truss tension to be increased or decreased incrementally.

Abstract: A bracket system for forming gate assemblies comprising at least two brace members that are rigidly attached to hinge assemblies. The brace members are adapted to be attached to support members to form two corners of a gate box functioning as the structural portion of the gate assembly. The hinge assemblies are adapted to be rigidly attached to a fence post to allow the gate assembly to pivot relative to the fence post. Gate assemblies of arbitrary height and width can be formed using the bracket system.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides various embodiments of systems and methods of fencing systems incorporating tri-truss assemblies and/or self-closing gates. A tri-truss assembly may provide stability and support to a gate that is part of a portable or temporary fencing system. For example, a tri-truss assembly may be configured to support a self-closing gate that is part of a pool fence. In various embodiments, a tri-truss assembly may include three vertical support members. Two of the three vertical support members may include pins configured to be placed within pre-drilled holes in a surface in order to maintain the tri-truss assembly upright. Abstract: A rail and post assembly that allows for onsite fence and gate panel construction is disclosed herein. A shear block is affixed to each end of a rail. The shear block and rail are then fed through an opening in a post. Fasteners then secure the shear block to the post, which thereby provides a rail and post assembly.

Abstract: A safety gate has a doorframe, a fence door and a repositioning unit. The doorframe has a base frame, a first side frame, and a second side frame. The repositioning unit is mounted on a bottom of the fence door and has a repositioning recess. The repositioning recess selectively engages a top of the base frame and has two opposite guiding surfaces. When the fence door is open at an angle under 5 degrees relative to the doorframe, one of the guiding surfaces abuts a side of the top of the base frame. Because the guiding surface is curved and inclined relative to the fence door and because a distance between the guiding surfaces is decreased gradually, the guiding surface gradually rotates the fence door to close. As a result, the repositioning unit can close the fence door that is open slightly at a small angle.

Abstract: A portable gate has a cattle guard with a base cattle guard and a movable cattle guard movably mounted to the base cattle guard. The movable cattle guard may be configured to be operated in a use position wherein the gate is operational, and a non-use position wherein the gate is non-operational. A gate member may be movably mounted to the cattle guard and configured to be operated in a closed position wherein the gate member blocks travel through the gate and across the cattle guard, and an open position wherein the gate member permits travel through the gate and across the cattle guard.

Abstract: An adjustable gate comprises two u-shaped vertical bars having first anti-warping gutters, tension hooks; two horizontal bars having second anti-warping gutters; a chain-link mesh; two tension rods; and a truss having paddle-nuts. The first anti-warping gutters are inserted into the second anti-warping gutters to join the bars together and to prevent the gate from warping in all horizontal directions. The tension hooks are welded along the body of the vertical bars to eliminate tie wires to prevent personal injury. The tension rods are inserted along the vertical edges of the chain-link mesh and hooked on the tension hooks. The truss hooks on the vertical bars and is adjusted to a desired tension to hold the adjustable gate together. The truss paddle-nuts disposed at the two opposite ends of the truss turnbuckle interlock with the truss turnbuckle in a desired position and allow the truss tension to be increased or decreased incrementally.

Abstract: A gating system (100) for use in the construction of a temporary fence line is discussed. The gating system (100) includes a pair of frames (101,102). Frame (101) is hinged on its lateral end (101) d to an adjacent fencing panel (105) while frame (102) is hinged on its lateral end (102) d to an adjacent fencing panel (105) allowing the frames to be manoeuvred between an open and close position. In the closed position the first and second frame assemblies are brought into communication via an interlocking mechanism. As the frame assemblies are moved to the open position the interlocking mechanism maintains a coupling between the first and second frame assemblies unit to a predetermined distance from the closed position.

Abstract: A fencing system operable to define a barrier relative to a foundation. The fencing system includes a mount that is operable to be supported by the foundation. The mount includes an upright portion configured to extend from the foundation. The fencing system also includes a first barrier member having a lower bracket that receives the upright portion such that the mount supports the first barrier member generally upright. The fencing system also includes a second barrier member having an upper bracket that receives the upright portion such that the mount supports the second barrier member generally upright and such that the upper bracket substantially overlaps the lower bracket to limit movement of the first barrier member.

Abstract: A bracket system for forming gate assemblies comprising at least two brace members that are rigidly attached to hinge assemblies. The brace members are adapted to be attached to support members to form two corners of a gate box functioning as the structural portion of the gate assembly. The hinge assemblies are adapted to be rigidly attached to a fence post to allow the gate assembly to pivot relative to the fence post. Gate assemblies of arbitrary height and width can be formed using the bracket system.

Abstract: A protective padding assembly for covering a section of chain link fence of the character found in sports venues, such as baseball fields, soccer fields, football fields and the like, wherein the section of chain link fence includes a hingeably connected swinging gate. The protective padding assembly uniquely includes a fence covering section, a gate covering section and an intermediate, wedge shaped portion for covering the gate hinges in a manner that will not interfere with opening and closing the gate.

Abstract: A fence gate having a bottom extender section comprising a frame having vertical and horizontal interconnected structural members with a planar extender panel slidingly attached to the lower portion of the frame for movement within a plane parallel to the plane of the frame and motive means connected to the panel for moving it toward or away from the ground in order to open or close the space between the ground and the lower structural member of the gate.

Abstract: A gate system for use with a gate opening which spans between two opposing ends includes an elongate sheet of flexible mesh fencing material spanning in a longitudinal direction between a first end and a second end thereof and which is wound onto a shaft coupled to the first end of the sheet. A housing rotatably supports the shaft therein such that the sheet of flexible mesh fencing material is arranged to be dispensed through an elongate dispensing slot in the housing to span the gate opening. Connectors on the housing and on the second end of the fencing allow selective mounting to appropriate mounts at opposing ends of the gate opening which remain engaged when the first end of the fencing material is wound onto the shaft sufficiently that the remainder of the fencing material spans under a prescribed tension across the gate opening.

Abstract: A retaining bracket for a fence gate used to secure the gates in a closed position relative to the fence includes a pair of axial members and a center “U”-shaped neck portion. Each opposing axial member is comprised of a straight rod and is attached to the neck portion. In use, a user holds an existing gate in the closed position and inserts an end portion of each axial member downward into a top-facing aperture located in a fence post and an adjacently opposing gate posts, thereby retaining the gate in its closed position.

Abstract: A gate for a deck railing is made with composite rails that match the profile and height of the composite rails of the deck railing where the gate is being used. The gate includes a pair of spaced side rails that securely support mounts that fit within the ends of the top and bottom composite rails. In some configurations, a cross brace is used from the top of the side rail with the hinges to the bottom of the other side rail. The gate is assembled from a gate kit that allows the user to provide lengths of the composite deck railings to be used as the top and bottom rails in the gate at locations that match the deck railing in order to provide a strong, durable deck gate that blends in with the deck railing.

Abstract: A water gate rail hinge and latch includes a hinge unit, a hinge portion, a wooden rail unit, a connective unit and a moveable latch. The hinge unit includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is connected with a fixed wooden rail and the second portion is connected with a moveable wooden rail. The first portion and second portion are connected by the hinge portion, which includes several clockwise rotational pieces and several counterclockwise rotational pieces. The wooden rail unit includes the fixed wooden rail and the moveable wooden rail. With such design, the fixed wooden rail and the moveable wooden rail may be opened and closed.
