  • Patent number: 11964228
Abstract: A vapor/smoke capturing trap system featuring a smoke chamber trap for precipitating the smoke dispersed in the chamber. The chamber includes a bottom pool for containing a reservoir of a liquid solvent, and a gas filled portion in which a lower smog portion contains fog-sized droplets of the liquid solvent and into which the smoke is introduced, and an upper clear portion in which the concentration of the smoke and the droplets is decreased, respective of their concentration in the smog portion. A fog-condenser, disposed between the smog portion and the clear portion, precipitates the fog droplets of the smog portion into the pool. A fine mist generator streams a jet of fog-sized droplets of the liquid solvent mixed with smoke toward a concentration of the smoke at the smog portion. A closed loop gas circulator withdraws gas from the clear portion and recirculates the gas under pressure through the fine mist generator into the smog portion.

  • Patent number: 11920823
Abstract: An automated flush system for an evaporative cooling system may be employed in barns or other facilities that house animals to provide cooling and to reduce production loss. The evaporative cooling control system may include an automated flush system that has a controllable valve at a flush end of the cooling system. Based on a timer, the controllable valve is opened and water drains (e.g., pumped or gravity feed) out of the cooling pad enclosure. Fresh water is introduced at the “fill” end of the system, rinsing out the evaporative cooling pads. After a predetermined time, the valve at the flush end of the system is closed, and the fresh water refills the cooling pad enclosure.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system for enriching a flowing liquid with a dissolved gas inside a conduit. The system comprises two or more capillaries, each capillary delivering a stream of a gas-enriched liquid to the flowing liquid. The first ends of the capillaries are positioned to form an intersecting angle with respect to the effluent streams such that these streams of gas-enriched liquid collide with each other upon exit from the first ends of the capillaries, effecting localized convective mixing within the larger liquid conduit before these gas-enriched streams are able to come into close contact with the boundary surfaces of the conduit, whereby the gas-enriched liquid mixes with the flowing liquid to form a gas-enriched flowing liquid. In the preferred embodiment, no observable bubbles are formed in the gas-enriched flowing liquid. Methods of making and using such system are also provided.

Abstract: A mixer designed to generate high mixing turbulence within the bottom zone of a liquid holding vessel while simultaneously entraining and transferring liquid from the upper surface down to the vessel bottom. Mixing action is accomplished through the incorporation of two jet nozzles, nested one inside the other, strategically located and powered by pressurized liquid drawn from the vessel being mixed. Mixer component dimensions are adaptable to multiple vessel types and configurations. Surface liquids are entrained using a weir section that is either a fixed or floating component of the mixer assembly. Liquid used for developing outlet velocity in primary jet is drawn from multiple locations including the vessel center zone, the vessel bottom and mixer annulus. Mixing in the vessel center zone can vary from gentle upward flow in tall tanks to complete turbulent mixing in shallow vessels.

The drips are collected in a catch basin suspended under the atomizer and reintroduced to the rotary atomizer by one of three methods; a mechanical pumping action from a cone or impeller extending from the rotating part of the atomizer, a suction from a Venturi section built into the fluid delivery tube, or by aspirating the fluid back into the atomizer by using the exhaust air from an air motor. Additionally, to prevent bacterial growth and to completely eliminate any moisture after shutdown, a heating element can be incorporated into the catch basin to sterilize and evaporate any excess fluid.

Abstract: A non-chemical device and method prevents the growth of algae in a cooling tower basin. Cooling tower basins can experience algae growth when exposed to sunlight. This algae growth is typically controlled with chemicals (algaecides). Based on the chemical composition of the algaecides, adverse and/or counter-productive reactions may be experienced, resulting in adverse and/or counter-productive consequences. Further, algaecides are toxic and may be discharged into sanitary waste streams when treated cooling tower water is released. In addition, when algaecide treatment levels fall below effective levels, algae will return, requiring on-going dosing of algaecide into the cooling tower water to maintain control of algae. The device can create a block to prevent sunlight from reaching the cooling tower basin water. Since algae growth requires sunlight, by blocking the sunlight, algae growth can be prevented.

Abstract: The integrated aeration system utilizes a water pump for aeration. Ambient air/gas is entrained by a circulating water jet induced by the pump. The circulating water jet enters a sealed tank, The entrained gas is broken into bubbles after the impingement between the jet and a receiving pool occurs, aerating the receiving pool by water jet spray. The entrained gas/air builds up headspace pressure above the water pool, the headspace pressure being measured by a pressure gauge. The trapped air above the water pool is released when the headspace pressure increases to reach a desired value to aerate a separate tank/container as a diffused aeration or any other aeration process.
