Processes Of Repairing Tires Patents (Class 264/DIG74)
  • Patent number: 4755334
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for the continuous production of articles or coatings with contours wherein a liquid material is introduced at one end into the mold cavity formed between at least two travelling continous shaping faces, said material being cured in the mold cavity and subsequently removed from the mold, characterized in that (i) the travelling faces are moved downwards at least in the region of the material feed, (ii) the stream of material supplied is moved to and fro transversely to the direction of advance of the faces, and (iii) the quantity of material supplied is controlled so as to fill the mold cavity with a uniform coating and an apparatus for use therein.

  • Patent number: 4536429
Abstract: In order to provide uniaxially-stretched and biaxially-stretched mesh structures which allow for different specific designs of the interconnecting strands, a special punching pattern is used to provide holes in the starting material. The starting material has a "square" pattern of large holes. Further holes are added. These further holes can be small holes which are staggered and in pairs. When the starting material is stretched, the uniaxially-stretched structure has transverse bars interconnected by highly orientated strands each of which forks at both ends into further highly orientated strands, providing a structure which is particularly suitable for soil reinforcement. When the structure is stretched in the direction at right angles to form a biaxially-stretched structure, the zones of the bars which are between aligned strands remain as unorientated or partly orientated junctions. The remaining zones of the bars are stretched out to form highly orientated strands.

  • Patent number: 4490197
Abstract: A tire casing preparation system including a transfer machine and associated with a plurality of work stations for performing a variety of operations on worn tire casings such as de-treading, contouring, surface conditioning, dimensional gauging, defect detection and adhesive treatment. The transfer machine includes a turntable having a plurality of chucking and rotating mechanisms for mounting and processing tire casings as they are moved from one work station to another. A tire casing is first transported to a de-treading station where it undergoes a rough machining or de-treading operation for forming a curvilinear surface on the upper outer periphery of the tire casing. The tire casing is then transported to a contouring work station where a semi-rough machining operation is performed to form an arcuate outer peripheral surface.

  • Patent number: 3967995
Abstract: A glass bottle having a body and a neck with a peripheral shoulder at the upper end of the body, and a paper jacket covering the bottle extending from above the shoulder at least to the heel of the bottle (where the wall of the body of the bottle merges with the bottom of the bottle) and covering the shoulder and body down to the heel to protect the bottle from weakening abrasion and scratches, and to contain fragments of the bottle in the event the bottle breaks. The jacket is constituted of waterproof paper, and may be secured in place on the bottle without any adhesive by shrinking. It may also be applied by means of an adhesive which is water-insoluble so that the bottle may be washed. In either case, the jacket may be preformed to such shape that it may be dropped on a bottle.
