Patent number: 12246417Abstract: A torque wrench includes a wrench body, a deformable rod, a torque adjustment mechanism, a switch and an alarm. The wrench body includes a working section and a gripping section. Two ends of the deformable rod are fixed to the working section and the gripping section respectively, and a middle section is formed in-between. The torque adjustment mechanism is installed in the gripping section and includes a knob and an abutting member. The knob adjusts the abutting member to be proximate to or away from the middle section. The switch is disposed between the middle section and the torque adjustment mechanism. The alarm is electrically connected to the switch, and the middle section is in a bending deformation toward the abutting member, when load of the working section is greater than a set torque, to touch the switch and trigger the alarm to generate a warning signal.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2022Date of Patent: March 11, 2025Assignee: MATATAKITOYO TOOL CO., LTD.Inventor: Yi-Min Wu

Patent number: 12090609Abstract: A torque wrench includes an elongated body, a head, and a cantilever beam. The body extends longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and includes a channel extending therethrough. The distal end includes an opening extending laterally therethrough along a central axis. The head is rotatably received within the opening at the distal end so that the head is rotatable about the axis. The head includes a gear cam defining teeth about a periphery thereof and an engaging portion sized, shaped, and configured to engage a corresponding engaging feature of a fixation device. The beam is housed within the channel such that a distal tip is received in a space between adjacent teeth. The beam bends when a torsional force applied to the head exceeds a predetermined limit so that the cam rotates about the axis and the distal tip slips from the space between the teeth into an adjacent space.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2022Date of Patent: September 17, 2024Assignee: DEPUY SYNTHES PRODUCTS, INC.Inventor: Todd J. Patent number: 9732820Abstract: In view of the above, there has been described a load compensator including one or more tension spring assemblies that are contained within a tubular housing when tension from a load is applied to the tension spring assemblies. When the load compensator includes more than one tension spring assembly, the tension spring assemblies are mechanically connected to each other in series and stacked in-line with each other in the housing. In a preferred construction, each of the tension spring assemblies includes elastomeric tension elements mounted between two disks, and the tubular housing includes a tube having threaded ends and caps that screw onto the tube.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2015Date of Patent: August 15, 2017Assignee: OIL STATES INDUSTRIES, INC.Inventors: Walter Billiot, Joseph Angeron, Danton Gutierrez-Lemini, Chris Chiasson, Eric Luke

Patent number: 8474802Abstract: The invention relates to a vibration isolator comprising a canister which ends are closed by end caps and a shaft able to move inside the canister, wherein the shaft comprises a piston-like shaped part for separating the canister in two parts: the first part being defined between the piston-like shaped part of the shaft and the first end cap, and comprising at least one resilient and damping element able to be compressed by a compression movement of the shaft on a first nominal stroke; the second part being defined between the piston-like shaped part of the shaft and the second end cap, and comprising at least one resilient and damping element able to be compressed by a tension movement of the shaft on a second nominal stroke; the tangential stiffness of the vibration isolator being, on at least one part of the first nominal stroke of the shaft, at least twice as lower as its tangential stiffness on the entire second nominal stroke of the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2009Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Barry Wright CorporationInventor: Geoffroy Nicq

Patent number: 6446944Abstract: A suspension strut having a piston tube containing a floating piston, slidable within a cylinder tube. A collar is fixed to the inner surface of the cylinder tube and contains a tapered wear ring. As the strut expands by extending the piston tube relative to the cylinder tube, the tapered wear band slides over valve orifices in the outer surface of the piston tube, gradually cutting off fluid flow from the annular space between the two tubes into an end cavity of the strut, thus increasing damping and reducing the likelihood of metal to metal contact at full strut extension. This reduces shock loads on the strut for smoother vehicle operation and increased component life.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 2001Date of Patent: September 10, 2002Assignee: General Kinetics Engineering CorporationInventor: Michael C.
