  • Patent number: 12115829
Abstract: A compact vehicle suspension system comprises a sliding ride motion guide having a fixed guide portion and a telescoping guide portion telescopically movable relative to one another. The sliding ride motion guide is fixed to a wheel hub knuckle via the fixed guide portion and is rotatably and structurally fixed via the telescoping guide portion at a top mount to a vehicle body. A coil over shock absorber is rotatably connected to a lower control arm at a first end and to the vehicle body at a second end. Arms of the fixed guide portion of the sliding ride motion guide may span the wheel hub knuckle to which a drive shaft may be connected. Vertical motion of the wheel is defined by a sliding axis of the sliding ride motion guide and an arc of the lower control arm.

  • Patent number: 7510175
Abstract: An assisting ejection device is provided for assisting ejection a hatch of a hatchback. The assisting ejection device includes spring-biased rod to act on the hatch. The spring is in a compressed condition when the hatch is closed so that when the hatch is released from the closed condition, the spring that is allowed to extend provides a springing force to help pneumatic cylinders that are originally provided to automatically lift the hatch to eject the hatch toward a flip-up position. The springing force effectively reduces the load applied to the pneumatic cylinders in opening the hatch so as to extend the service life of the pneumatic cylinders.

  • Patent number: 6978985
Abstract: A non-sectional locking buffer device. The device utilizes a screw ascending and descending principle as a buffering function, wherein ball bearings or outer screw grooves are configured on a central shaft of the buffer device to operate in coordination with inner screw grooves or ball bearings configured on an inner wall of a buffer chamber. The inner and outer screw mechanisms rely on slippage of the ball bearings in the screw grooves, to reduce a jolting force from repositioning or returning of an upright support, thereby reducing buffer malfunction.

  • Patent number: 6749187
Abstract: A shock-absorbing structure includes an elastic helical body, and an elastic helical curved tube. The elastic helical body is formed with a plurality of loops and a plurality of buffer spaces each defined between any two adjacent loops. The elastic helical curved tube is formed with a plurality of curved convex portions each inserted into a respective buffer space and urged between any two adjacent loops. Thus, the buffer spaces of the elastic helical body provide a cushioning effect. In addition, the elastic helical body and the elastic helical curved tube produce an elastic restoring force, so as to damp and reduce the stress applied on the shoe sole, thereby providing a shock-absorbing effect.

  • Patent number: 5570896
Abstract: A bicycle rear wheel suspension which pivots a rear frame (10) behind the bottom bracket shell (5). The overall pivot width is greater than that of the bottom bracket shell (5), this ensures high torsional control and simplifies manufacture. At the junction of the seat stays (9) there projects a suspension housing (16) which sleeves axially or near axially over the stay runner (17). Both the suspension housing (16) and stay runner (17) feature flat sides to which bearing surfaces (19) are affixed. Between the bearing surfaces (19) there are needle roller bearing groups (20). One or both of the bearing surfaces (19) have deformable backs (21). The stepload slot (32) exerts a stepload force on the stepload pin (23) and the suspension such that only a bump loading force above that threshold stepload force would produce suspension movement. A hollow shock absorber (26) surrounds both the suspension housing (16) and stay runner (17).
