With Resilient Side Or End, E.g., Edge Roll Patents (Class 267/96)
  • Patent number: 11597307
Abstract: An anti-vibration seat mount for tractors and other rough riding equipment with a paired base and top frame, the base frame separated from the top frame by a tapered spring set, with each spring interconnecting the base frame to the top frame. One tapered spring connects each distal end of the top frame to each distal end of the base frame, with the bottom of each tapered spring is mounted immovably to the base frame. A central pipe from the top frame is received into to the top of each tapered spring, downward through the center of each tapered spring. Vibration and bouncing motions of the work vehicle or tractor onto which the seat suspension is mounted are greatly reduced, with movements absorbed while self-centering back to an original position.

  • Patent number: 5363522
Abstract: A perimeter support spring for use in a mattress or furniture spring assembly having an array of coil springs connected with spaced parallel border wires along the perimeter of the spring array is connected between the border wires to provide supplementary support to the mattress perimeter. The support spring comprises a torsion spring member having an intermediate torsion coil, a pair of spring arms diverging from the torsion coil, and a pair of molded plastic mounting clips attached to the terminal ends of the spring arms.

  • Patent number: 4303232
Abstract: A coil seat spring assembly wherein spring coils are mounted on a plurality of sinuous spring bands extending between the front and back rails of a furniture seat frame. The axes of the coils are substantially vertical. The coils on each band are clamped to each other and to adjacent coils and adjacent bands at their uppermost coil turns and at their lowermost coil turns. The coils are approximately two-thirds the axial length of conventional coil springs.

  • Patent number: 4295639
Abstract: A coil spring assembly, and a method of forming that assembly, in which the assembly's edgemost coil springs are connected to a border wire by a single continuous spiral lacing wire. The method involves the steps of guiding a rotation spiral lacing wire completely around the periphery of a spring coil matrix and border wire through use of helical path defining dies until the leading and trailing ends of the lacing wire are overlapped. During the lacing operation, the helical path defining dies cooperate to deflect a peripheral segment of each corner and edge coil into juxtaposition with the border wire. The resulting final coil spring assembly includes corner coil springs in which the deflected peripheral segments of the corner coils are retained contiguous to the corner of the border wire by the lacing wire.
