With Jaw Actuating Means Intermediate Yoke Legs Patents (Class 269/129)
  • Patent number: 10913139
Abstract: The pipe support stand is an attachment for a tripod chain vise. The pipe support stand attaches to two of the three legs of the tripod chain vise and provides a work support leg that runs under the work piece at an oblique angle to the ground and to the work piece. The front end of the work support leg may rise towards the work piece and the work piece may slide onto one of two brackets on the front end of the work support leg such that the device provides support to the end of the work piece that is about to be cut off. Alternatively, the work support leg may slide towards the rear such that the rear end of the work support leg contacts the ground and provides additionally stability for the tripod chain vise.

  • Patent number: 7735710
Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting a substrate is generally provided. In one aspect, an apparatus for supporting a substrate includes a support plate having a first body disposed proximate thereto. A first pushing member is radially coupled to the first body and adapted to urge the substrate in a first direction parallel to the support plate when the first body rotates. In another aspect, a load lock chamber having a substrate support that supports a substrate placed thereon includes a cooling plate that is moved to actuate at least one alignment mechanism. The alignment mechanism includes a pushing member that urges the substrate in a first direction towards a center of the support. The pushing member may additionally rotate about an axis perpendicular to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 5513837
Abstract: The portable clamp is used, for example, in making repairs to a product, such as a snowboard. The repair volume location of the snowboard is reworked to prepare this repair volume, i.e. a damaged portion of the product, to receive repairing materials. After their placement, a pressure distribution plate of this portable clamp is positioned over, and generally beyond, the repair volume location. Then a bottom clamp bar and a top clamp bar are positioned, respectively, under and over the snowboard. These clamp bars are thereafter drawn together by using the preliminary clamping fastener assemblies located at their respective ends. Then final clamping fastener assemblies, threadably positioned in the top clamp bar, in the central portion thereof, are tightened to continue the distribution of clamping forces to the pressure distribution plate.

  • Patent number: 5215134
Abstract: A matched edge jointer is used with a router to produce matched edge surfaces on two workpieces. The guide contains an elongated guide bar, an elongated platform mounted and centered longitudinally under the guide bar, an elongated base adjustably mounted under the platform, and a means for adjusting the gap between the platform and the base. The platform has a width such that the distance from the edge of the guide bar to the edge of the platform is equal to or greater than the offset of the router, and is made of a material which is readily trimmed by the router before use. The device is customized for a particular router before being used with a workpiece. Two workpieces with matched edge mating surfaces are produced by alternately working the two workpieces using opposite sides of the jointer.

  • Patent number: 4260347
Abstract: In the invention, an apparatus is designed for producing spacer frames for insulating glass window structures, made up of lengths of hollow molding joined together by male cornerpieces. Hollows and spaces at the corner joins are sealed or filled by injection of a sealing composition forced in by the use of a female injection head designed to take up a frame corner, and a driver for pushing the frame corner structure into the injection head. There is furthermore a work table for the frame parts in the working position on injection of the compound or sealant, and gripper structures for keeping the hollow molding lengths, forming the corner, in the desired position. At least one of the gripper structures is able to be moved towards the put-in male part of the cornerpiece after the hollow molding part has been gripped.

  • Patent number: 4092205
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching a thermoplastic fitting to the side wall of a pipe is disclosed. The apparatus is made up of a generally U-shaped frame having legs supporting two spaced pipe clamps. The frame supports a fitting holder on a springloaded rod by which a controlled force can be applied on the fitting while fusing the fitting to the pipe. The fitting can also be moved toward and away from the pipe in order to insert and remove a heating mechanism to melt the plastic.
