The connecting member situates the at least one first locus-fixing structure substantially in the predetermined relation in the installed orientation.

    Abstract: A toothpaste tube squeezer has first and second squeezing blocks for holding a toothpaste tube therebetween. A first clamping mechanism is positioned toward an opening end of the toothpaste tube to apply pressure to the first and second squeezing blocks to squeeze the toothpaste tube. A second clamping mechanism is positioned toward a sealed end of the toothpaste tube to release pressure on the blocks. Both squeezing blocks may have slightly outwardly curved surfaces to contact the toothpaste tube. As the second clamping mechanism is loosened to release pressure applied at the sealed end of the toothpaste tube, a gap may increase between the squeezing blocks at the sealed end of the toothpaste tube. Due to the slightly curved surfaces of the squeezing blocks and the increasing gap, a squeezing pressure moves further up the toothpaste tube in a direction from the sealed end to the opening end.

The switching mechanism has a shaft positioned within the movable assembly, generally oriented parallel to the bore, that is capable of rotational movement around the longitudinal axis of the shaft and axial movement along the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The switching mechanism also has a drive pin attached to the shaft of the switching mechanism that is oriented generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The switching mechanism also has a mechanism for affecting the axial movement of the shaft that is preferably in the form of a cam. The release and retain mechanism has a biased release lever defining a slot that is sized to receive the mast.

    Abstract: A hand tool or clamp, capable of clamping a work-piece of any size within a wide range of sizes, includes a fixed jaw secured to one end of a slide bar, the other end of which is received in an elongate hollow sleeve and supported for back and forth movement relative to the sleeve. A movable jaw is supported on said sleeve at a selected one of plural mounting locations spaced along the length of the sleeve, each defined by a transverse pin extending through the sleeve. Once the fixed jaw has been advanced by hand toward the movable jaw sufficiently to clamp the work-piece, the sleeve and slide bar are releasably locked together by a pawl and ratchet mechanism. The clamping pressure is increased over that provided by hand by a screw mechanism associated with the fixed jaw.

    Abstract: A corner clamp joining a pair of generally orthogonal elongated members is formed by slicing a generally C-shaped frame form an aluminum alloy extrusion so that the frame includes a member spanning opening with a pressure pad defining one extremity of the opening and an opposite opening extremity face including a threaded hole and a threaded shaft passing through the threaded hole and helically movable therein toward and away from the pressure pad. The members are joined by clamping them together between the pressure pad and the end of the movable shaft. One elongated member may be an I-beam and the other a U-shaped channel with the U opening away from the I-beam. The slice is taken obliquely to the direction of elongation of the extrusion so that the pressure pad has a non-rectangular generally parallelogram shaped face. When assembled, one edge of the pressure pad face extends generally parallel and adjacent to an inner U surface.

Second opposing jaw 26 pivots, in relation to first jaw 24, about a central pivot point 34. First and second opposing jaws 24 and 26 each include a distal end 25 and 27, respectively. A workpiece restraint member 36 can be utilized for providing a rigid planar surface for engagement with a workpiece. The locking three-way clamp 10 of the present invention also includes an engagement device 50, on the distal end of each jaw, that pivots inward towards the restraint member 36 thus applying a vector force having x- and y-component vectors that forces a first workpiece against a second workpiece and simultaneously forcing the clamp 10 towards the workpieces 120 and 140.
