With Articulated Attachment Or Insert For Jaws Patents (Class 269/163)
  • Patent number: 10029357
Abstract: The invention relates to a press tool for connection of a pipe and a fitting, in particular for inseparable connection, with two pivoting elements, with two actuating sections formed on the pivoting elements, with two pressing sections formed on the pivoting elements, with two carrier elements assigned to the pivoting elements, and with a bistable tension mechanism, wherein each of the pivoting elements is mounted so that it can pivot about an assigned axis of rotation, wherein the carrier elements hold the axes of rotation, wherein the inner contours of the opposing pressing sections form a receiving area and wherein the receiving area formed by the inner contours in a first closed position of the pivoting elements is narrower than in a second open position of the pivoting elements.

  • Patent number: 8047517
Abstract: An attachment for use with a clamp having a pair of jaws operable to clamp a workpiece therebetween, such attachment comprising a body member of such size as to be accommodated in a space between one of the jaws and the workpiece. The body member of the attachment has a first contact surface adapted to bear against a surface of the workpiece and a second, opposite contact surface adapted to bear against one of the jaws. The second contact surface is so configured as to enable the attachment body member to be substantially universally rockable relative to the jaw engaged by such attachment body member, thereby enabling the body member to occupy a position in engagement with and substantially parallel to that surface of the workpiece engaged by the attachment body member.

  • Patent number: 4795175
Abstract: A nipple chuck for holding a pipe nipple blank in a power driven threading machine is comprised of three arcuate sleeve segments engaged between the jaws of the threading machine chuck. The segments are internally threaded at the front ends thereof and are pivotally supported adjacent the rear ends thereof such that the internally threaded front ends are manually pivotal radially of the nipple chuck axis. In use, the segments are closed about the threaded end of the nipple blank which is then securely grasped by radial engagement of the machine chuck jaws with the segments. Following threading of the unthreaded end of the nipple blank, the nipple chuck is removed from the machine chuck jaws, and the segments are manually pivoted to an open position to release the nipple.
