  • Publication number: 20140061427
Abstract: A combined pad structure contains a disc base and a body. The disc base includes an anti-slid area defined on a bottom end thereof. The body includes a circular groove defined on a bottom end thereof to receive the disc base and includes a limiting portion formed on four corners of the bottom end thereof. Thereby, when the body is placed onto the disc base, the disc base is limited in the circular groove of the body, hence the body allows being rotated along the disc base. Also, when the body disengages from the disc base, they allow being used respectively, thus increasing using functions.

  • Publication number: 20120060353
Abstract: A workpiece support having alignment features to allow the proper alignment of the shadow mask to the workpiece is provided. The alignment features include tactile sensors, so as to measure the pressure being applied to each alignment feature. Based on these pressure readings, a determination can be made as to whether the workpiece is properly aligned with the shadow mask. In some embodiments, corrective actions may be initiated if a determination is made that the workpiece is not properly aligned.

  • Publication number: 20110241271
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided, for positioning a work piece, such as a piece of crown molding, through use of an apparatus including a work piece support plate pivotably attached along a pivot axis to a base. The base is adapted to rest on a horizontal reference plane, such as the table of a mitre saw, for pivoting motion of the support plate about the pivot axis to a desired angle with respect to the base, while the pivot axis is simultaneously positioned to extend substantially parallel to a longitudinal line of intersection between a horizontal and a vertical reference plane, established by the table and fence of the mitre saw, to hold the work piece at a desired tilt angle with respect to the vertical reference plane, so that the work piece may be cut in substantially the same orientation as it will be mounted.

  • Patent number: 7695238
Abstract: A lift mechanism includes a balance structure configured to hold an object, wherein the balance structure is rotateably connected to an arm structure at a pivot point. The pivot point is configured, and the object is positioned, such that the pivot point is substantially coincident with the center-of-mass of the object being moved. Weights may be selectively attached to the balance structure to adjust the center-of-mass. In one embodiment, the lift mechanism includes a base and an arm configured to rotate with respect to the base, wherein the arm is attached to the balance structure at the pivot point. In this way, heavy objects may be lifted, translated, and rotated into place safely in an efficient manner.

  • Patent number: 3930643
Abstract: A workholder or roll-over fixture including a primary supporting structure and a pair of workholding elements mounted for rotation in the structure about a fixed axis of rotation and providing a work-receiving area therebetween. The workholder is particularly suitable for servicing and maintaining large and heavy machinery. The workholder includes a control system including a sensing means that is sensitive to out of balance forces within the workholder caused by rotation of the workpiece when held by the workholding elements and movement of the center of gravity of the workpiece relative to the axis of rotation. This control system also preferably includes a device mounted on one of the workholding elements which is adapted to sense the attitude thereof. The sensing means provides an output signal, which is sent through the attitude sensing device, indicative of the out of balance forces.
