    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a clamp lock to secure a clamp around a pressure vessel, such as a split tank pool filter. The clamp lock includes a drive rack with at least one notch, and a housing with a rotatable drive gear, a locking pawl, and a receiving hole. The rotatable drive gear is capable of laterally moving the drive rack through the receiving hole, and the locking pawl is capable of engaging the at least one notch when the drive rack has been inserted a distance into the receiving hole. The distance correlates to a diameter of the clamp sufficient to secure the clamp around the pressure vessel.

A butt fusion machine having a frame, a first clamp and a second clamp thereon, is removably positioned on the cart. Each clamp is adapted to releasably secure the end portion of a length of thermoplastic pipe so that thereby the frame has a plane of orientation along which lengths of pipe extend when secured by the clamps.

The machine has a work transfer device which will receive and clamp a shoe part and displace the clamped shoe part to a joint location to adhere the shoe part to a fused laminate. The work transfer device has a support pad on which a shoe part is to be clamped and a clamping structure which includes a lever arm on either side of the support pad each of which includes one or more catches. A swivel bracket assembly includes a swivel bracket having a connecting pin which is releasably secured in the catch and clamps which are secured to the swivel bracket.

    Abstract: A basket loader apparatus for a machine to cast commoning straps onto the positive and negative plate lugs of plate stacks used to form a multi-celled lead acid storage battery. As configured the apparatus is designed to hold a basket which contains said stacks and hold it during the casting operations. Prior to the start of said operation, the apparatus is further adapted to properly align the lugs for casting and further to enter the plates and the plastic separation which lie between them within the basket. The apparatus further includes vertical adjustment means so that plates of different size may be accommodated and vacuum cleaning means to remove fragments of lead sulfate paste and other foreign materials which might interfere with proper alignment of the plates within the basket.

    Abstract: A kit for making O-rings from cord stock material essentially includes a holding fixture for securing the material, a container of bonding liquid and a heating mold. The holding fixture allows the cord material to be cut diagonally in such a fashion that the magnitude of the angle is smaller for cord materials having a smaller diameter. Therefore, there is a larger bonding surface for smaller diameter materials. The O-ring heating mold includes two flat separable heat conductive blocks having a common flat interface. Apertures are located across the interface having cross-sectional diameters that are slightly less than the tube stock cross-sectional diameters. Since the central axis of each aperture is not located directly at the interface one portion will include more than 180.degree. of arc whereas the other portion will correspondingly include less than 180.degree..
