In an embodiment of the invention, one deceased person is interned in the earth ahead of the headstone, and the cremated remains of another deceased are secured in the chamber. A commercially available adhesive putty has been found to be effective for attaching polymer composite resin-encapsulated decorations or articles to granite, marble and bronze areas on headstones, or to any other stone material used in headstone manufacture, located out of doors and exposed to snow, rain, hail, wind, and sun, at temperatures exceeding 100° F. as well as at subzero temperatures, whereas removal of the decoration or article for headstone maintenance, replacement or substitution, as examples, will not mar or otherwise damage the surfaces. The casket ornament display plaque comprises a decorative board, a casket ornament attached to the board, and indicia attached to the board identifying a deceased to be memorialized. The casket ornament is one having been removed from a casket in which the deceased was displayed. The indicia may be a nameplate bearing the name of the deceased, a photograph of the deceased, or both. A method for memorializing a deceased comprises displaying a casket containing the deceased therein, the casket having at least one selectively removable ornament, removing the ornament from the casket, affixing the ornament to a display plaque and presenting the display plaque and ornament to survivors of the deceased so that the deceased can be remembered by displaying the plaque and ornament.

The mounting portion may include a mounting flange, mounting posts, or mounting apertures. A removable closing member may be attached to the container portion and may seal the ashes contained therein. The closing member may also include a locking feature. The container may be fabricated with a corrosion resistant coating. A distinguishing mark may be displayed on an exterior surface of the container.

The combination includes a hollow cylindrical (e.g., nylon) outer shell having upper and lower chambers and a partition to separate the chambers from one another. A removable top end cap is connected across the top of the outer shell, and a removable bottom end cap is connected across the bottom of the outer shell. The removable top end cap is rotated out of engagement with the outer shell to gain access to the upper chamber so that candle oil can be supplied thereteo. The removable bottom end cap is rotated out of engagement with the outer shell to gain access to the lower chamber so that the ashes of the departed loved one can be received and stored therein.
