  • Patent number: 9776431
Abstract: There are provided a medium conveying device and an image recording apparatus that can convey a medium without the generation of wrinkles and floating. Projections having the same size are regularly disposed on the peripheral surface of an image recording drum to form recessed portions and protruding portions on the peripheral surface of the image recording drum. An interval between the projections disposed in a middle region is set to be smaller than an interval between the projections disposed in both end regions. Accordingly, when a sheet is pressed against the peripheral surface of the image recording drum by a pressing roller, forces for pulling the sheet to the outside from the middle in a width direction can be generated. As a result, the sheet can be made to come into close contact with the peripheral surface of the image recording drum without the generation of wrinkles and floating.

Abstract: A conveyer belt is looped on rollers placed over and at both ends of a paper sheet storage part and bill holding members for holding bills are fixed onto an outer surface of the conveyer belt at determined interval. The bill holding members themselves have grip force by which the conveyer belt bends inward and the bills are held. When the bill holding members pass over the roller on a reception side, their free ends get apart from the conveyer belt and the bill holding members receive the bills. The bill holding members grip portions near ends of the bills when passing between rollers. When the bill holding members pass under the roller on a release side, their free ends get apart from the conveyer belt. The bill holding members release the bills, allowing the bills to fall onto stacked bills for staking storage.

Abstract: Representative embodiments provide for a controller for use with a capacitive mat, the controller configured to selectively electrically energize a first node of the capacitive mat in response to an input. The controller is further configured to wait for a first predetermined period of time, and to electrically energize a second node of the capacitive mat after the first predetermined period time. A method of the present invention provides for controlling a capacitive mat, the method including receiving an input, (and electrically energizing a first node of the capacitive mat at a first predetermined potential. The method also includes waiting for a first predetermined period of time, and electrically energizing a second node of the capacitive mat after the first predetermined period of time.) This repeats the scenario stated in lines 5–7. The abstract only mentions one of the three methods.
