Abstract: Apparatus and methods for selectively picking two or more types of imaging media in an imaging apparatus having only a single pick roller while simultaneously supporting each type of imaging media on the imaging apparatus, wherein such media is ready for picking. The imaging media can be supported in respective media trays while supported on the imaging apparatus. The apparatus includes an actuating mechanism that is configured to selectively position each of the media trays relative to the pick roller, one-at-a-time, to facilitate picking by the pick roller of the selected imaging media. Methods include simultaneously supporting a plurality of types of imaging media on an imaging device having a single pick roller, and selectively picking either the first imaging media or the second imaging media from the respective media tray.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a recording apparatus which has a positioning means for manual sheet feeding for aligning a sheet feeding position, and a positioning means for auto sheet feeding provided on an auto sheet feeder for aligning the sheet feeding position, and a sheet fed from the auto sheet feeder does not abut against the positioning means for manual sheet feeding, when the auto sheet feeder is attached to the recording apparatus main body.

Abstract: An article dispensing mechanism in which a plurality of stacks are mounted on a platform. Each has a plurality of articles such as paper sheets. The platform is moved from an article feeding position to a non-feeding position. An article feeding mechanism is mounted above a stack at the article feeding position. The article feeding mechanism feeds an article from the top of a stack at said article feeding position. When a stack at the article feeding position is devoid of articles, the platform is moved from the feeding position to the non-feeding position to present another stack to the feeding position.

Abstract: Apparatus for supplying and transferring blanks, in particular revenue stamps, to (cigarette) packs a supply of blanks being stored in at least one upright magazine shaft from which the blanks are removed individually on the underside. In order to increase the capacity, a loading station with a supply unit for blanks is arranged at a distance from a transfer station assigned to the packs, to be precise in a disruption-free, easily reachable region of the packaging machine.

Abstract: A sheet processing apparatus of the present invention comprises: an inserter tray to support insert sheets, an insert sheet supply roller to supply the insert sheets in the direction of a recording medium conveying path from the inserter tray; an insert sheet conveying device extending from the insert sheet supply roller to the recording medium conveying path to convey the insert sheets; a sheet reversing/conveying device provided from the insert sheet supply roller to the recording medium conveying path to reverse both the front and back sides of the insert sheets; and a gate to sort the insert sheets supplied from the insert sheet supply roller to the insert sheet conveying device or the insert sheet reversing/conveying device, and supplies insert sheets on the inserter tray by reversing the front and back sides in the direction of recording media according to a type of finish processing to be applied to recording media.

To provide the apparatus which is characterized by a simple and therefore economical performance construction with the required security of pay-out, a compartment module having components lying next to each other, separated from each other by partitions and opened at their end sides is provided which is guided moveably by a controlled drive. To store the bank notes, a slider travelable to and fro by a controlled drive is guided in the housing in the transverse middle plane of the bank note supplied in each case, this slider pushing the bank notes while folding them in the middle in a loop-like manner into a compartment of the compartment module traveling into the middle plane.

The cassette includes a frame including at least a side frame and a bottom frame. A bottom plate is provided above the bottom frame including collapsible guide walls for positioning four separate stacks of sheets within the cassette on the plate. Each of the walls are adapted to collapse thereby allowing each of the four stacks of sheets individually to be moved within the cassette to be in contiguous relation to a feeder unit for feeding individual sheets from a single stack of sheets that is positioned within the cassette into the apparatus. A feeding device moves each of the four stacks from different positions within the cassette to the feeder unit so that individual sheets can be fed to the apparatus for each of the four stacks.

Abstract: A card printer has a card feed hopper assembly that will support stacks of two different size cards in hopper sections. The card feed hopper assembly is movable transversely of the printer to position the respective hopper sections to be aligned with a card feed path on the printer, and then positioned so that cards in the hopper section aligned with the card feed path will be driven into the printer. The hopper is lifted when it is moved transversely, and then lowered down to provide the card drive for cards in the hopper section that is aligned with the card feed path.

Abstract: This invention is made to prevent the user from re-setting paper by effecting a process for pushing a sheave of sheets of paper by a transferring guide towards the paper feeding side if setting of paper of a tandem type LCF is not correctly effected and when it is predicted that it is structurally safe based on information of an end guide switch and no-paper-on-the-wait-side switch. Thus, useless time and labor of the user can be alleviated and the reliability as a device can be enhanced by effecting the transferring process which is structurally safe.

Abstract: A paper feeding apparatus of a multi-functional machine capable of automatically feeding documents and printable paper one by one is provided. The paper feeding apparatus includes a sensor for sensing whether the documents are loaded, a separating unit for separating the picked-up documents or print papers by piece, and a lever moved up in the standby state so that a plurality of documents can be stacked and moved down when the document is picked up by a pick-up roller in order to automatically transfer all the loaded documents and the printable paper.
