Segmented Radially Actuated Packer (e.g., Oil Saver, Gas Saver, Etc.) For Above Ground Apparatus Patents (Class 277/344)
  • Patent number: 10816119
Abstract: A sprinkler fitting configured to attach multiple sizes of sprinklers and possibly multiple sizes of flexible tubing. The sprinkler fitting has at least one end having two different sized threaded connectors configured to attach to different sized female sprinkler openings. A smaller connector is located distal on the end from the larger connector such that when the sprinkler fitting is attached to sprinkler head with a female opening having threads that correspond to the threads of the larger connector, the smaller connector is positioned without attachment to any threads within the female opening of the sprinkler head. The sprinkler head connector has at least a first connector and a second connector to attach multiple sizes of sprinklers. If included, the flexible tubing fitting connector has at least a first connector and a second connector to attach multiple sizes of flexible tubing.

  • Patent number: 9065259
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a device for sealing an interface having an opening for a wire to pass through the interface. A pair of sealing blocks may be used where one block contains a protrusion and the opposing block contains a recess. The protrusion and recess preferably have an apex with a round having approximately the same dimension as the radius of the wire. A pair of posts may be positioned on opposing sides of the opening. One sealing block may contain an aperture for accepting one of the posts while the second sealing block may contain an aperture for accepting the opposing post. The posts may be threaded so that they can accept a threaded fastener. Exemplary embodiments may utilize mounting plates which may contain a flange such that squeezing the opposing flanges together can cause inward forces on the sealing blocks.

Abstract: A system and method for replacing equipment at a wellsite is provided. The wellsite has a subsea stripper installed proximate a subsea borehole. The system has a conveyance for delivering a BHA into the subsea borehole. The system has a subsea stripper having a central bore for passing the conveyance and the BHA therethrough, and at least one actuator connected to the subsea stripper for actuating a packer whereby the wellbore is sealed. The system has at least one replaceable seal assembly for installation within the stripper. The replaceable seal assembly has at least one packer extendable within the subsea stripper to form a seal thereabout and at least one locator sleeve for positioning the seal assembly in an install position within the subsea stripper. The replaceable seal assembly has a frangible member for connecting the seal assembly to the conveyance prior to deployment in the subsea stripper.

Abstract: A wellhead or Christmas tree seal assembly that forms a metal-to-metal seal between inner and outer wellhead or Christmas tree members. U-shaped metal seals having legs that face in opposite directions, are bonded to a wiping element. During installation of the seal assembly, the ends of the seal legs seal against the wellhead members and the wiping element compensates for defects on the surfaces of the wellhead members. The wiping element can be of an elastomer, metallic, or intercalated graphite material.

  • Patent number: 6367805
Abstract: In a stripping arrangement for preventing liquid from penetrating at the peripheral gap (1) between a reciprocating component (2) and a casing opening (3) surrounding the latter, a choke ring (8) is provided on the side facing the inlet of the liquid to be stripped in the stripping bushing (4) in addition to at least one stripping ring (5) arranged in a stripping bushing (4), wherein this choke ring is designed with a smooth annular surface (9) on its front side facing the inlet of the liquid, and adheres to the smooth inner front surface (10) of the stripping bushing (4) facing it, exposed to the adhesive forces (S1) in the liquid. In this way, a significant path of entry for the liquid to be stripped into the stripping bushing (4) is blocked, so that the stripping ring (5) has to strip substantially less liquid from the reciprocating component (2).
