  • Patent number: 11859740
Abstract: A flanged fitting includes an annular fitting flange having an annular end face. A glass liner lines a radially inner annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange. A radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange is free from the glass liner. The radially inner annular portion and the radially outer annular portion of the annular end face of the annular fitting flange define an annular gasket abutment face configured to seat a gasket thereon. An annular gasket includes an annular gasket layer. The annular gasket layer includes a radially inner annular gasket segment including a first material suitable for forming a liquid-tight seal with an opposing flange. A radially outer annular gasket segment surrounds the radially inner annular gasket segment. • Patent number: 8608856
Abstract: A sealing part that is inexpensive and enable excellent durability to be secured without the need for a predetermined sealing space as would be required for a double sealing structure. A sealing part seals an inside of a reduced pressure vessel from an outside, in which a high-elasticity polymeric material-eroding eroding substance is present and which is comprised of a substrate processing apparatus carrying out predetermined processing on a substrate housed in the reduced pressure vessel. The sealing part has a radical sealing member and a vacuum sealing member. The radical sealing member is disposed on an inside side of the reduced pressure vessel and is resistant to the eroding substance. The vacuum sealing member is made of the high-elasticity polymeric material and is disposed on an outside side of the reduced pressure vessel. At least one refuge space is formed through at least part of the radical sealing member and at least part of the vacuum sealing member being separated from one another.

  • Patent number: 7640917
Abstract: A fuel injector tip seal is provided including improved resistance to the heat and pressures of combustion gas. According to one aspect, the tip seal is formed from polytetrafluoroethylene and between 10 and 35 percent carbon fiber. The material offers improved surface finish and deformation resistance as well as improved thermal conduction and keeps thermal expansion low as compared to conventional fuel injector tip seal designs. According to a further aspect, a revised seal groove design is provided that allows for expansion and deformation of the tip seal and creates more pressure to the outside diameter face when pressure is applied at the tip. According to another aspect, the tip seal is formed of a flat disk-shaped seal body that can be assembled on the fuel injector by an assembly cone device that allows the disk-shaped seal body to be flipped to a ring-shaped configuration in its assembled position.
