  • Patent number: 10746340
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a hydraulic plug. A shell with a circumferential wall, a sealed end, an open end and an axially extending cavity within is provided in which the cavity is defined by an internal surface with an inner diameter which narrows towards the open end. A head of an expander is inserted into the cavity, the expander further comprising a stem extending from the cavity for applying a tensile force (T) to the head. A sleeve is provided on a stem side of the head extending into the cavity, an end of the sleeve adjacent the head having an inner diameter which is less than a maximum outer diameter of the head. The sleeve is formed by expanding the sleeve by forcing the head into the end of the sleeve through urging the sleeve and/or expander towards the other in an axial direction.

  • Patent number: 10271888
Abstract: A screwdriver includes a handle having a handle channel extending therethrough and a shaft extending from a proximal end insertable into the handle channel to a distal end including a bit opening sized to receive a proximal portion of a bit therein in combination with a locking sleeve slidably receiving the shaft therethrough and positionable over the shaft distally of the handle and a spring slidably received within the locking sleeve channel over the shaft. A coupling member received over the shaft distally of the locking sleeve is movable from a biased first configuration in which a locking element protrudes radially into the bit opening to lockingly engage a bit received therein and a second configuration in which the coupling member is retracted proximally to compress the spring and permit the locking element to move radially out of the bit opening to permit the bit to be removed therefrom.

  • Patent number: 10130892
Abstract: A modular construction system and method of assembly designed to provide the user with the flexibility to build a wide array of customized buildings and other similar items, while offering lifelike detail of construction materials in those items. The system and method include a number of stackable unique part shapes which may be used in different orientations to construct a building, partial building, sculpture, or other item. The pieces have an integrated system for attaching to one another, which is designed so that pieces may be oriented a number of different ways relative to one another, for example, in order to minimize the chance of pattern repetition in the texture of the walls of the final structure. The structural pieces of the product may contain only female receptacles for attachment. Attachment may be accomplished by inserting a double ended male piece into each of two abutting female receptacles.

  • Patent number: 9970465
Abstract: An expansion anchor including a stud, at least one expansion element, and at least one slanted surface that is arranged on the stud and that pushes the expansion element radially outwards when the stud is moved in a pull-out direction relative to the expansion element is provided. It is provided that the coefficient of friction between the expansion element and the slanted surface is dependent on the direction.

  • Patent number: 9851035
Abstract: The connector assembly includes a housing with an open bore which extends along an axis from an open first end to an open second end. The housing further includes a plurality of fingers that are spaced circumferentially from one another and are deflectable in a radial direction. At least one of the fingers has a plurality of teeth that are spaced axially from one another and extend into the open bore of the housing for biting into the first tube to resist pull out of the first tube from the open bore. Each of the teeth also extends by a height to a leading edge of an engagement surface which also includes an angled portion that extends at an angle relative to the axis. The axially spaced teeth have at least one of differing heights and differing angles of the angled portions.

  • Patent number: 9022780
Abstract: An apparatus includes a gas burner assembly which includes a gas burner and a gas supply conduit. The gas burner includes a gas supply opening and a substantially cylindrical socket formed on the exterior of the gas burner around the gas supply opening. The gas supply conduit includes an opening at an end and a substantially tubular adjoining section proximate to the opening. The adjoining section is configured to mate with the socket and includes a substantially radial protrusion. The socket includes a substantially radial depression for receiving the protrusion. As the gas supply conduit is connected with the gas burner to establish fluid communication at the gas supply opening, the protrusion is engaged in the depression thereby aligning the adjoining section in a predetermined manner about the socket and restricting rotational movement of the adjoining section about the socket.

  • Patent number: 8920081
Abstract: An interface between a receptacle body and an insert designed, in particular, as a tool or workpiece insert, comprises a receptacle body (2) having a cylindrical receiving bore (4), which is circumscribed by a first plane surface (6) extending at a right angle to the bore axis and in which a first cone surface (9) is arranged, said first cone surface being coaxial with the bore axis and being arranged so that its tapered end faces toward the plane surface. The insert (3) has a pin (15) that is disposed to be plugged into the receiving bore (4) and is circumscribed by a second plane surface (22). At an axial distance from the second plane surface (22), said pin has a second cone surface (22), the tapered end of said second cone surface being arranged so as to face toward the second plane surface.

  • Patent number: 6863478
Abstract: A device for the coaxial connection of a surgical rotating tool to a shaft and the method of forming such a device. The device comprises a shaft defining a central axis and having a front end, a hollow body having a first end for engaging the front end of the shaft and a second end for engaging the tool. The hollow body further includes a wall defining a cavity coaxial to the central axis, the wall has at least one deformed impression thereby defining at least one projection in communication with the cavity. The at least one projection is engaged with the shaft to produce a rotatively and axially fixed connection between the shaft and the hollow body.

  • Patent number: 5997225
Abstract: A rotary power tool, such as a router, includes an actuating device engaged with a chuck device to move the chuck device between its gripping and release positions. The actuating device includes a lever member that extends axially relative to a casing of the power tool within an inner circumference of a base member. This lever member is movable relative to the casing and is engaged with the chuck so that movement of the lever is imparted to the chuck device causing the chuck device to move axially between its gripping and release positions.

  • Patent number: 4591172
Abstract: In a power chuck including jaws moved by drivers which are displaceable in the axial direction of the chuck body by means of an axially displaceable actuating member mounted in the chuck body, the actuating member is coupled to the individual drivers through two gimbal rings which compensate for unequal displacement of the jaws. The gimbal suspension can be bridged by connecting the rings rigidly to each other. A balanced as well as centric clamping of a workpiece may thus be effected. The manufacturing costs are low so that both economy and high reliability in operation are obtained.
