  • Patent number: 9914194
Abstract: Provided is a grinding method capable of preventing variation in the outer diameter of a processed object 1 at the completion of grinding regardless of change in the amount of elastic deformation of the processed object 1 based on the change in the cutting ability of a grindstone 4. The outer diameter D of the processed object 1 during grinding is measured by gauge heads 5 in process. Plural target values Di that differ from each other are set for the outer diameter D of the processed object 1, and first threshold values are set for the rate of change of the outer diameter D of the processed object for each of these target values Di. Spark out is started when the outer diameter D of the processed object 1 becomes equal to a target value Di and the absolute value of the rate of change v is greater than a first threshold value that corresponds to the target value Di.

  • Patent number: 7472633
Abstract: A transmission apparatus includes a frame, a rotating disk fitted on the frame, platforms on the rotating disk, an inner rotating member fitted on the frame, a clutch, and an actuating mechanism for moving the clutch; the platforms have clamping jaws for clamping a work piece; the clutch is joined to the inner rotating member, and can be engaged with and disengaged from a transmission gear rotated with a power source; after one of the platforms is secured to the inner rotating member, the actuating mechanism will exert force to separate the clutch from the transmission gear, and the clamping jaws clamp the work piece, and next the clutch is engaged with the transmission gear; thus, the power source causes rotation of the transmission gear, the clutch, the inner rotating member, and said working platform so as to test whether the work piece is positioned in balanced position.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a low-vibration tool holder (1) with a tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6) and a tensioning arrangement (5) which provides axial tensioning of the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6) and which is simultaneously tensioned in a radially flexible way with respect to the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6). This tool holder (1) is less susceptible to vibration than previously known tool holders, which ensures better true running even during operation and in particular when heat-induced expansion of materials occurs, since the clamping arrangement (5) which is integrated in the tool holder (1) is continuously centered with respect to the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6). Furthermore, such a tool holder (1), in particular within a modular design, can be adapted very flexibly to different types of tools and workpiece machining processes.

  • Patent number: 7303195
Abstract: The clamping apparatus comprises a chuck member and a pallet releasably attachable thereto. The chuck member has four centering grooves, arranged offset to each other by 90° around the central Z-axis, while the pallet has four correspondingly located centering pins. In each of the four centering grooves, one of the groove flanks serves for centering the associated centering pin of the pallet, while the other groove flank is constituted by a clamping member. Upon clamping the pallet to the chuck member, the associated clamping member engages a recess provided on the centering pin and pulls the latter one in Z-direction into the centering groove of the chuck member. Simultaneously, the clamping member also presses the centering pin against the other groove flank. Thereby, the pallet is positioned relative to the chuck member in X-, Y- and Z-directions and clamped to the chuck member.

The article to be drilled is centered and clamped onto a table top of the table and then the computer rotates the table top incrementally to precisely position the article relative to an associated stationary drill stand that is used to drill the desired holes in the article. Rotation of the table top is computer controlled, allowing the operator to select the number of bolt holes for each article.
