Feed Type Patents (Class 279/20.1)
  • Patent number: 9937841
Abstract: A friction bushing for being positioned on a shaft for friction-retarded rotation relative to the shaft, including a housing having a bore for receiving the shaft and a flange plate positioned on the housing around the bore. A plurality of flanges are carried by the flange plate and adapted for extending axially outwardly from the flange plate and along circumferentially-spaced apart areas of the shaft for frictionally-engaging axially-extending areas of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 9731353
Abstract: A bar material supplying device includes a feed rod having a leading end provided with a finger chuck, a feed rod servomotor and an air cylinder device that move the feed rod in a longitudinal direction to insert and pull the bar material into and from the finger chuck, and an NC device that controls driving of the feed rod servomotor and driving of the air cylinder device. The NC device controls the driving of the feed rod servomotor and the driving of the air cylinder device to move the feed rod in an operation of inserting and pulling the bar material into and from the finger chuck, and operates as an error allowable device that allows an error of an operation amount of the feed rod servomotor motor in the operation of inserting and pulling the bar material into and from the finger chuck.

  • Patent number: 9669466
Abstract: An improved spindle assembly for a Davenport® multi-axis screw machine is adapted to adequately hold one-inch round bar-stock in a collet against movement relative thereto attributable to machining operations performed on a cantilevered length of bar-stock held in and extending beyond the collet. The spindle assembly may permit the use of the screw machine on materials thought heretofore to be too difficult to machine on a screw machine. Cam surfaces on the inner spindle and collet may be coated with a low-friction material. A stress-relieving connection between the inner spindle and collet is provided.

  • Patent number: 9403199
Abstract: An expandable tube portion including slots arranged in a staggered fashion is expanded. When the expandable tube portion is expanded, the individual slots open to a cut end portion of the expandable tube portion are transformed to open in V-shape while the whole body of the expandable tube portion is transformed to a lattice configuration. Hence, the tube expansion only need to apply a working force required to bend intersections of the lattice configuration, resulting in the reduction of the working force for tube expansion. As a result, the working force for tube expansion does not open a butt connection portion of a subject matter, negating the need for previously weld bonding the butt connection portion of the subject matter.

  • Patent number: 6533290
Abstract: A feeder chuck according to the invention includes a tubular chuck body with an axial bore through which a bar is passed, with a downstream section including longitudinal slots enabling elastic deformation in the radial direction. An exterior envelope with an internal conical clamping bearing surface comes into contact with an external conical clamping bearing surface of the chuck body, and is screwed onto the chuck body. The intermediate portion of the exterior envelope has a capacity for elastic deformation in the longitudinal direction, for example by virtue of oblique openings. The feeder chuck therefore has a capacity for adjustment of its diameter combined with improved radial retention of the bar.
