Transverse Screw Actuator Patents (Class 279/43.3)
  • Patent number: 11583933
Abstract: A method of efficiently forming a finished part, the method includes providing a cutting tool having a first cutting edge extending from a first end of the cutting tool, a second cutting edge extending from a second end of the cutting tool, and a shaping edge disposed between the first cutting edge and the second cutting edge. The cutting tool is advanced into a rotating workpiece such that the first cutting edge removes a trailing end of the rotating workpiece, the shaping edge shapes a working portion of the rotating workpiece, and the second cutting edge removes the working portion of the rotating workpiece to form the finished part.

  • Patent number: 10549355
Abstract: A lug nut removal tool enables a user to remove a seized lug nut from a threaded stud. The lug nut removal tool comprises a drill bit which is drilled through a guide which can be adjusted in size by a collar. The drill bit comprises a plurality of blades separated by slots; the plurality of blades are mechanically coupled to cutting edges. The guide comprises guide slots which can be used to align the guide about the seized lug nut. In this manner, the user can attach the guide onto the seized lug nut and tighten the guide with a set screw. Then the user can attach the drill bit onto an air drill to cutting edge out the seized lug nut.

  • Patent number: 9492876
Abstract: A coupling device couples a first member and a second member. The coupling device includes: two protruding portions provided on the first member; a through hole formed to pass through the second member; two reception holes provided in the second member and each formed to connect to the through hole; and a fixing member having a first pressing portion and a second pressing portion. The fixing member is configured to, when being disposed in the through hole, change a distance between the first pressing portion and the second pressing portion due to application of a force to one end portion of the fixing member. The first pressing portion and the second pressing portion are formed to exert a fixing force on either corresponding one of the two protruding portions received in the two reception holes.

  • Patent number: 6908264
Abstract: A quick-change core drill includes an adapter and a generally tubular drill barrel. The adapter comprises a first end adapted to be removably connected to a drill spindle and a second end adapted to be removably connected to the drill barrel. The drill barrel includes an inside diameter D1, a first end, and a second end having a crown with an inside diameter D3. The first end of the drill barrel is adapted to be removably connected to the second end of the adapter such that the inside diameter D1 is at least as large as the inside diameter D3. Upon detection of a jammed core inside the drill barrel, the user can quickly and easily remove the jammed core from the drill barrel by disconnecting the drill barrel from the adapter. Since there are no obstructions present, the user can simply remove the jammed core from the first end of the drill barrel.
