  • Publication number: 20150091259
Abstract: A tool holder includes a collet configured to be clamped to the shank of a tool and a pull-out protection element configured to secure the tool against being pulled out of the collet. The pull-out protection further includes a protection element such that pull-out forces acting on the tool are transmitted to the collet. The protection element is mounted so as to be moveable relative to the collet and has a wedge-shaped configuration as well as force-transmission surface. When the protection element is in a radially inner engaged position with the tool, the protection element is configured to be clamped to the cool and the collet so as to be self locking.

  • Publication number: 20150014947
Abstract: A collet adaptor (10) including a body (11, 12) having forward and rear ends and an axial bore (17) extending through the forward and rear ends. A drawbar (13) disposed at least partly within the bore (17) for connection to a collet (14). The drawbar (13) is secured within the bore (17) and a biasing arrangement (42) acts on the drawbar (13) in a direction tending to shift the drawbar (13) rearwardly within the bore (17). The drawbar (13) is displaceable within the bore (17) against the biasing influence of the biasing arrangement (42) to shift forwardly within the bore (17).

  • Publication number: 20140202761
Abstract: A chuck for a cable fitting includes multiple segments substantially forming a ring shape. Each segment of the multiple segments includes a first tapered surface on a distal end, wherein the first tapered surface slopes from the distal end away from a central axis of the ring, and a second tapered surface on a proximal end, wherein the second tapered surface slopes from the proximal end away from the central axis. The chuck also includes a flexible band to hold the multiple segments in the ring shape. Each segment of the multiple segments is configured to receive compressive forces on the first tapered surface and the second tapered surface to force each segment of the multiple segments inwardly toward the central axis. The multiple segments are configured to engage a cable to secure the cable within the ring shape.

  • Patent number: 6234491
Abstract: A liner for a power tool holder has a wall which defines an interior and an exterior periphery. The interior periphery is sized to receive a tool shaft and the exterior periphery is sized to fit within a tool holder. The liner protects the tool shafts from marring, nicking or the like while being frictionally held by the tool holder.

  • Patent number: 6227549
Abstract: A chuck jaw that is configured and arranged to be used in combination with other chuck jaws for securely retaining a rotatable accessory, such as a drill bit, in position in a chuck assembly, where the chuck jaw includes a chuck jaw body that defines a generally longitudinal axis along the primary extension direction thereof and a chuck jaw tip that is positioned within the chuck jaw body and extends along at least a portion of the generally longitudinal axis of the chuck jaw body. The chuck jaw further includes an insulating material for preventing electrical current from passing between the rotatable accessory and the remainder of the chuck assembly via the chuck jaw.
