  • Publication number: 20130313799
Abstract: The invention relates to wheel bearing that is intended for a utility vehicle and includes a sleeve-shaped carrier shaft, in which an axle of the utility vehicle can be received in a concentric manner; a wheel hub; and a first roller bearing and a second roller bearing for rolling the wheel hub relative to the carrier shaft. In this case the second roller bearing is clamped axially against the first roller bearing on the sleeve-shaped carrier shaft by means of a press ring.

  • Patent number: 6889617
Abstract: Disclosed is a collision energy absorbing structure of a vehicle capable of relieving impact by using a tubular pipe member having equally-sized rectangular cross section and equal plate thickness and including no inside ribs and by adding a suitable trigger, and being easily manufactured at a low cost. By forming a cutout portion on the left side of the front end portion of the collision energy absorbing structure, the deformation starting portion is provided. The cutout portion is formed at parts of three flat plate portions comprised of one of the four flat plate portions and corresponding opposite portions thereof. The general portion, which follows the deformation starting portion, is tubular with rectangular cross section and has a closed cross-section structure.

  • Patent number: 5333896
Abstract: A bird cage having a roller bearing imposed between the axle casing and the bird cage frame. The roller bearing may be sealed to effectively alleviate the problem of dirt accommodation interfering with the rotational action of the axle casing with respect to the bird cage frame. The inside of the roller bearing may be attached to the outer surface of the axle tube or casing to alleviate side play, a sliding motion of the bird cage with respect to the axle casing. This provides a more predictable and freer suspension. The bird cage design may be modular to allow the adaptation of the bird cage to different suspension configurations and to allow for the replacement of damaged parts.
