  • Patent number: 10822071
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for enforcing contours onto parts of an aircraft. One embodiment is a method for enforcing a contour onto aircraft parts. The method includes removably attaching segmented ring details to aircraft skin details, attaching stringers to skin details to create skin assemblies, positioning skin assemblies at a support structure defining a contour, and fastening frames to the skin assemblies to create a panel. The method also includes removably installing a spreader section onto the panel to complete assembly of a brace prior to removal of the panel, transporting the panel while the brace enforces the contour, attaching the brace to braces for other panels to form a barrel section of a fuselage for an aircraft while the brace enforces the contour, and removing the brace from the barrel section after the barrel section has been formed.

  • Patent number: 10384917
Abstract: A power pack [2] is located within a housing [3] on the platform [1] of a wind turbine generator tower. The power pack [2] is supplied from a fuel tank [4]. With the door [6] of the housing [3] open, the power pack [2] may be removed for servicing and repair by using a U-shaped support structure [8] to which an electric motor [11] is mounted. Two support rails [12] permanently located within the housing [3] support the housed power pack [2]. A chain [15] attached to the power pack [2] is driven by the motor [11] to remove the power pack [2] from the housing [3] by sliding the power pack [2]along the support structure [8]. A pulley arrangement reduces the necessary torque. After removing the power pack [2] from the housing [3], a crane [7] is used to lift the power pack [2] from the platform [1] and to lower it down to a sea vessel [17].

  • Publication number: 20120112426
Abstract: The presently disclosed embodiments, as well as features and aspects thereof, are directed towards providing a modular cart system operable in multiple configurations suitable for multiple transport applications and, more particularly, for a modular cart system that includes a multi-purpose chassis member. Advantageously, embodiments of a multi-purpose chassis member include various features that provide for either the receipt of a component included in a modular cart system or, alternatively, mechanical coupling to fixtures that are exclusive from the modular cart system. Importantly, because a multi-purpose chassis member is configured for the receipt of various components that may or may not be comprised within a given cart arrangement, a modular cart system that includes a multi-purpose chassis member can be reconfigured for a custom transport solution depending on application.

  • Publication number: 20110101638
Abstract: A locking pin mechanism for a transport semi-trailer, the locking pin mechanism is used for locking longitudinally extending members of a frame of a transport semi-trailer together with a trailer body movably arranged on the longitudinally extending members. The locking pin mechanism comprises at least two bolt assemblies and a linkage assembly for driving the at least two bolt assemblies. The bolt assembly comprises a bolt, an inner spring, a sliding sleeve, an outer spring and a bracket. The sliding sleeve at an end away from its sliding sleeve end-plate is connected with the linkage assembly; the linkage assembly can be pulled such that the sliding sleeve of the bolt assembly is compresses the inner and outer springs to force the bolt to be pulled out from a locating hole under an action of an elastic force of the inner spring; and after the linkage assembly is released, the bolt can be inserted into the locating hole under the action of the elastic force of the outer spring.

  • Publication number: 20030075893
Abstract: The invention concerns an adjustable seat (10) for motor vehicle comprising a substantially horizontal seating element (14) of the rear part of which is articulated a back (16), a device for adjusting (21) the position of the seating element (14) of the seat (10) relative to the vehicle structure and means for locking and unlocking the adjusting device (21). The invention is characterized in that it comprises reinforcing means (56), separate from the adjusting device (21), which absorb at least part of the impact loads provoked by a longitudinal shock, in particular at the front of the vehicle so that, at the time of impact, the deformation of the adjusting device (21) is reduced, thereby reducing the tilting movement, in particular forward, of the adjustable seat (10) about a rocking axis with global transverse orientation.
