  • Patent number: 10384504
Abstract: A trailer system for transporting multiple adult passengers and/or supplies over harsh terrain (e.g., snow, ice, wetland, etc.) when towed behind a vehicle. The trailer system includes a cabin, first and second skis, and first and second suspension assemblies. The suspension assemblies connect the skis, respectively, with the cabin. The suspension assemblies incorporate multiple pivot points that effectively isolate the skis from cabin, and promote true “tracking” of the trailer system relative to the towing vehicle. In some embodiments, the cabin has a highly buoyant construction, allowing the trailer system to float in water.

  • Patent number: 9169665
Abstract: A pushrod-type tent frame includes a base, a frame linkage and a controlling mechanism. The frame linkage has two support sets arranged in parallel, each having a supporting pole, an upper supporting pole and a lower supporting pole pivotally connected in sequence. The supporting pole has an outer end pivotally connected to a front edge of the base, and the lower supporting pole has an outer end pivotally connected to a rear edge of the base. The controlling mechanism has two rod-pushing mechanisms pivotally connected to the two support sets, respectively. Each of the rod-pushing mechanisms has a driving device for driving a telescopic rod assembly to change its reach and thereby prop up or release the frame linkage, so as to expand the tent frame or allow the tent frame to be retracted.

  • Patent number: 8857825
Abstract: An ice fish house base has at least two skis, each coupled through at least two pivotal arms to an ice house base. The pivotal arms are pivotal between an elevated position and a lowered minimum position. The lowered position is stable when the ice house base comes into solid contact with the ground, thereby limiting maximum rotation in this ice-house-base-lowered position. In the upward position, a rotational pivotal arm stop prevents the pivotal arms from rotating further, so that the separation between ice house base and skis is just less than maximum. The weight of the ice house will also hold the ice house base at this fully rotated position. A quick attach receiver is provided for a bifurcated ice auger mount and several alternative accessory supports. In addition, several alternative trailer hitch couplers are disclosed that use a tensioning strap for securement.

  • Patent number: 8608183
Abstract: The walker with integrated illumination means and alarm wires an alarm and lights into at least one side of a walker. The alarm includes a panic button located adjacent onto of the handles, and upon depression shall signal an alarm via a speaker located elsewhere on said walker. The illumination means includes at least one light that is operated via an on/off switch located adjacent one of the handles. The walker with integrated illumination means and alarm may be of foldable construction or a wheeled construction. An embodiment may include illumination means located and operated on a left side of said walker, whereas another illumination means is located and operated on a right side of said walker. The illumination means and alarm are portably powered, and increase the overall weight of the walker by a negligible margin.

  • Patent number: 7500680
Abstract: A wheeled transport device, such as luggage, a trash can, a garden cart or other hand cart configured to be manually wheeled in an inclined position by a pedestrian user, includes a collapsible handle at one end and wheels at the other end. The wheels are independently connected to the device by respective suspensions that exhibit a compliance, in response to forces applied to their respective wheels by the surface in a direction opposing wheel motion, selected to sufficiently alter suspension geometry to temporarily change an attitude, such as toe, camber or caster, of their respective wheels to counter a tendency of the device to overturn in response to the applied forces.

  • Patent number: 7284762
Abstract: A multipurpose sled which comprises an upwards open container(1), which includes a bottom (15), a rear wall (16a, 16b, 16c), side walls (17) and a front wall (18), runners (2) which extend backwards over the container, and supporting means extending essentially as long as the runners for setting the sled on the back ends of the runners and the supporting means for using the sled as a shelter, is characterised in that it comprises handles (3) and means (7) for attaching the handles detachably to the rear part of the container in different positions for different purposes of use so that in a first position (P2) the handles (3, 3a) form said supporting means for setting the sled on the back ends (2a) of the runners and the supporting means for using the sled as a shelter.

  • Publication number: 20040130109
Abstract: This invention relates to a space-dividing wall panel system having a plurality of base panels which are serially connectable one with the other to define a vertically enlarged wall supported on a floor. Each base panel is defined by at least one horizontal box-beam rigidly connected to a pair of laterally spaced apart vertical uprights which are connected at the opposite ends of the box-beam and have a reduced thickness compared thereto. With this clearance between the faces of the box-beam and the uprights, the box-beam, cross rails at the ends of the uprights as well as additional extension panels are formed with longitudinally extending channels which are positioned free of interference with the vertical uprights and aligned with serially-adjacent channels of serially-adjacent wall panels.

  • Patent number: 6310551
Abstract: An alpine rescue alert assembly operated by a ski patrol member. The rescue alert assembly adapted for mounting between a pair of toboggan handles pivotally attached to the front of a toboggan. The toboggan used for carrying an injured skier. The alert assembly includes a battery received in a battery tray attached to a side of one of the handles. The assembly also includes a pole mounting base. The pole mounting base rotatably mounted on a pivot pin ring. The pivot pin ring is attached to a ring bracket mounted on and expending upwardly from an assembly brace. A lower end of a pivot pole is releasably attached to the pole mounting base. The pole mounting base allows the pole to be raised from a lowered horizontal position upwardly to a vertical position when the alert assembly is in use. An upper end of the pivot pole includes a strobe light and a siren mounted thereon. The strobe light and siren include electrical wiring connected to the battery.
